Oh no, I thought desperately to myself as I paced the length of the room. What am I going to do? Why did I even sign up for this in the first place?Stop whining, my annoying inner voice said. You knew what was going to happen when you took the job. Besides, you get one step closer to those plans you're practically risking your life for.
Speaking of which, I thought, I have to message Chiron and tell him.
I grabbed my phone, and after typing my super-secret password in, I clicked on the Iris-Messaging app. All my chats popped up, and I clicked one of the more recent chats: one that said Alpha Horse.
Me: Chiron, big news!!!!!!!!
Almost immediately, a reply popped up.
Alpha Horse: Cut to the chase, child. And in case you wanted to know, the date is August 4th.
I sighed, shaking my head. Once a teacher, always a teacher. I eagerly typed a reply back.
Me: I'm finally getting some access to the battle plans. What do I do?
Alpha Horse: Simple...get those plans and get out of there somehow!
Me: But it isn't all that simple.......having the post of assistant general is a highly publicized office....if I just ran away I would have to run from a monster hunt again.
Alpha Horse: True enough.......but are you saying that you want to sabotage their plans altogether? That's extremely risky, and I have no doubt that you know it.
Me: But if it goes right, Othrys will fall, and we wouldn't have to worry about the primordials for a looooooong time.
