"Khloe!" A voice startled me out of the party. The feminine sound was very familiar, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

"You there?" Another familiar feminine voice said. Were they in the real world, or still in my dream? Turns out, the answer was the latter as an image formed of two girls standing in front of me as if in a TV program.

"Piper! Hazel!" I said, the first real smile in days forming on my face. "Where have you been? It's been a long time since the last empathy link message."

"I know, right?"Piper said. "Do you have WiFi there? I'll try texting you if-"

"Don't get off track,Piper!" Hazel said. "The purpose of the empathy link was to get a feel of what's going on there. Speaking of which-" Hazel gave me a meaningful look, "You never told us that somebody used to have a crush on you!"

"C'mon Hazel," Piper said, a fleeting smirk on her face, "This is Khloe Alexoupoulos we're talking about. How can any dude not have a crush on her?"

"Uh,Pipes,"I muttered, "Should I really remind you how I prefer people liking me for who-"

"You are and not just for your looks, which if you haven't bothered to notice, are extremely good?" Piper said, cutting me off. She was always telling me that someone or the other would fall for me, or rather, my looks. I thought that I looked perfectly normal and I didn't care much about it.

"Besides, you have too much of a personality for just one person to handle," Hazel said. "Someone is bound to fall for you."

I tried my best not to think about that person, because I knew that Hazel and Piper would be able to feel it. And I couldn't allow that to happen, because I had promised him that I wouldn't let anyone else know.

"As for that person who was supposedly having a crush on me, I just made it up," I said. "It was the first thing I said so that my boss wouldn't ask me anymore questions about the dude."

"About whom?" The girls said in unison.

"Jake Mason is in Othrys. He's apparently their best mechanic, and we need a mechanic to review some weapons diagrams. What if he recognized me? Even with shape shifting, I can't take the risk."

"True enough," Piper said. "So how's the work going?"

"Tritannus, my boss, is kinda bipolar. I can't figure him out, heck, my mind-reading ability doesn't work on him! He's really secretive, and no one knows about his past-"

"I think she meant your spy work, Khloe," Hazel giggled.

"Uh, well,it's going greater than expected. Tritannus left for a meeting, so I took pictures of the plans and sent it to Chiron. He'll know what to do with it."

"He'll probably give it to Malcolm," Piper said half-heartedly. "He's the best strategist in the Athena cabin, and that's saying a lot."

"That boy Malcolm..."Hazel trailed off, trying to remember. "He was the one who had a bee in his bonnet about the...uh..outcome..of the last mission, right?"

"That damn bee is still buzzing around in his 'bonnet ' like it's a prison, because he hasn't let it go yet,"Piper said bitterly. "For a son of the wisdom goddess, he sure can't understand that it wasn't Khloe's fault."

Yeah, it totally wasn't my fault.

"Guys," I said, "Just let it go. It's natural for Malcolm to be suspicious, don't hold it against him." The colors started to fade away, and I knew that I was waking up.

The dream slowly started to fade and Hazel and Piper said,"Bye,Khloe!" I was just about to say goodbye, when the dream abruptly disappeared and my eyes flew open.
