Sophie / Juliet

"So we're going to have another night of arguing, right?" Aaron looked at Sophie with raised eyebrows as they stood in her living room.

He had stopped by on his way to the fight to offer a second chance for her to come. He knew she wasn't working until this late and it had only been an excuse so she wouldn't be questioned and therefore, he wasn't going to let her get off so easily.

Sophie was extremely stubborn and once she had made up her mind on something she wouldn't back down. That situation applied to Aaron's fighting too as once she had decided that she didn't like the sport, she refused to go to any of his matches.

"I'm not arguing." Sophie folded her arms across her chest, proving that she was prepared to have one right here and now.

"You're pissed off because of this whole thing, as usual."

This was nothing new for the pair as any fight that came around for Aaron, always ended up in this. The pair would either argue before his fight or after; the timing never mattered, it just always happened.

"What do you expect Aaron? It's so stupid!"

As Sophie threw her arms out in pure aggravation, Aaron reached out to take hold of her hands before urging her towards him.

"I just don't get why it bothers you so much."

"You can't seriously be asking me that?"

"Answer the question." Aaron sighed, as he watched Sophie pull her hands from his.

"Because it's messed up. You call it a sport yet it is just you and some guy beating each other up. It's pathetic."

Aaron was clenching his fists at this point to try to calm himself from saying something he would regret. The fighting to him was a passion, something he absolutely loved and the fact that his girlfriend didn't agree wasn't the best feeling.

"You don't have to like it but you could at least show me some support every once in a while." Aaron began as he tried to keep his voice calm. "I come to those fashion shows you do for your course and watch people strut around in clothes for hours, the least you could do is come and watch a fight... just one."

There was silence for a moment while they both just stood and looked at each other. It was obvious that tempers were rising yet neither could put together the words to speak.

"Just fucking forget it then. I knew you wouldn't give in, I don't know why I bothered coming over."

As Aaron grabbed his bag from the floor, Sophie stepped forward to say something before deciding against it. Instead, she watched him charge towards the living room door before pulling it open, only to be startled at the figure stood the other side.

"Oh, er... damn, sorry." Juliet quickly stumbled and tried to make it seem as though she hadn't realised what was going on. However, Sophie knew by her body language that she had been listening to every single word that had been said.

"You alright?" Aaron suddenly calmed his voice as he looked to Juliet with a forced smile.

"Yeah, I'm good." She smiled back before glimpsing over to Sophie who was trying to avoid everyone's eye contact.

"Cool, I'll see you soon." Aaron then urged Juliet into a side hug before heading for the front door and leaving.

It wasn't until it had been slammed shut that Juliet looked back to her sister with questioning eyes.

"Don't." Sophie said, as she already knew what Juliet was going to say.

"The arguing is driving me insane Sophie!" Juliet said it anyway as she wasn't able to hold it back.
