Sophie

In pure traditional manner after one of Aaron's fights, a group of them always gather at their place for an evening just to chill. They refuse to intake any alcohol and just take the night to watch movies and talk. It's a very unusual mannerism for them all however, after a crazy night it always feels essential and has been something they have always done.

So knowing it would likely be happening again tonight, Sophie had decided to pay a surprise visit considering she hadn't been to the fight. She knew herself and Aaron were not on the best terms but she wanted to at least try and fix it. She hated arguing with him and knew the pettiness really wasn't worth it.

However, her idea of a surprise had instantly been regretted when she walked into their living room after being let in by his housemate Lewis, to see him fully engrossed in conversation with a particular girl. They were both sat on one of the corner sofas with the girl's body as close as it possibly could be to Aaron's and the laughter and close exchange between them made Sophie's heart sink.

She knew this girl who went by the name Candice as she was quite a strong presence within the group. She was a regular visitor to Aaron's fights and had earned a friendship within the group, which involved her occasionally getting invites back here too.

"Soph?" Aaron's shock was evident as he spoke her name as though it was a question. "What are you doing here?"

His body language was enough giveaway of his surprise too as he instantly created some space between himself and Candice. It didn't look like they were doing anything particularly wrong but it still wasn't something Sophie wanted to see.

"What do you mean, what am I doing here?" Sophie mocked, instantly finding herself feeling bitter.

She had shown up to try and fix things yet now she didn't feel like fixing anything at all.

"I came to see you."

"Well obviously..." Aaron began as he stood to his feet and began making his way over to her.

Everyone in the room had their eyes on them; it was difficult not to considering the only other sound in the room was the movie they had on in the background.

"I just didn't expect you to come here if you couldn't even make the fight."

He was still mad; no other conformation was needed.

"That's why I came!" Sophie stressed, as she already saw where this was going. "But if you don't want me here, I can just go."

"I'm not saying you should go, Soph." Aaron sighed.

The tension between them was unmissable and it was making every single person in this room feel beyond awkward. It was times like this that they needed Jack here to make some kind of inappropriate joke to lighten the mood a bit however, his presence was missing.

"Well I just expected you to be a little bit happier that I was here, yet instead you seem pissed off."

"I'm not pissed that you're here, I'm pissed that you didn't come to the fight... once again."

"When are you just going to get over it, Aaron?" Sophie's voice was raised as she was struggling to contain every emotion she was feeling. "I don't like the fights and my opinion is never going to change."

"Fair enough but you could at least show your face for some support! Even your sister showed up and I'm sure she was just there for the guys and doesn't give two shits about the fight."

"Wait, what?"

Aaron's last words had instantly caught Sophie's attention as her sister and the fight were mentioned within the same sentence. She could see by the look on Aaron's face that he had just made a huge mistake and his words had been carried away from him but it was too late now.
