Jess/Sophie:

the next day...

"Finally we can talk without them lingering around!" Sophie exasperated as herself and Jess took seats on the sofa.

Both girls had been at uni for the day and after waking up this morning and noticing Jess was still over Jack and Aaron's too, Sophie had demanded a conversation with her best friend. However, considering both guys had been about all morning while they all had breakfast, they had been unable to get anytime alone to speak. That is how Jess had ended up here.

"So tell me everything."

Sighing, Jess ran her hands through her hair as she prepared herself to come out with the full truth. She felt comfortable telling Sophie anything however, reliving the night was what had her slightly on edge.

"Do I have to start from the beginning?" She asked, considering she had managed to mutter pieces of information to Sophie this morning so she wasn't completely clueless.

"No. I get that you made out and things got heated but then it stopped..."

"Yeah." Jess nodded her head before turning her body around so she was providing Sophie all of her attention. "We stopped because I basically told him I was a virgin. I told him it was my first time and that I couldn't do it."

"And what happened?" Sophie went onto ask. "You said he was okay with it right?"

"Yeah, he was more than okay, which I wasn't expecting but I just feel embarrassed now. I don't know if I should have told him. I should have just made some other reason up for why I wanted to stop."

Jess was glad in the moment she had told him as that definitely wasn't how she expected her first time to be. She barely knew the guy and hadn't felt ready in the slightest even though things had so quickly progressed. However, since this morning she hadn't been able to stop replaying the scene over in her head and debating if it was the right thing to do. She didn't want things to dramatically change between herself and Jack now that he knew a personal piece of information about her but was worried that it would.

"Of course you should have told him Jess." Sophie began; shocked that it was even a doubt in her best friend's mind. "It's so important that you did."

"Really?"

"Yeah, you need to be able to trust the person you're sleeping with and if you don't feel comfortable telling Jack the truth, then you shouldn't even be considering sleeping with him."

Jess had felt mortified the moment she had admitted it to Jack, as she hadn't known what to expect in return. Even though he had taken it extremely well and maturely, she still felt a little weird about the whole thing.

"How do you feel about it potentially happening though? It sounds like you got pretty close." Sophie asked, curious to know her view of it.

"Terrified." Jess answered immediately and honestly. Although at the time, her mind had been so consumed with the desperation and heat of the moment, thinking back now, she was just filled with nerves.

"Which is completely normal." Sophie reassured. "You definitely shouldn't do anything until you feel ready."

Shuffling herself that little bit closer to Jess on the sofa, Sophie was now getting extremely serious, as she knew this conversation was important to have. Their friendship had always been about pure honesty and being there for each other through all the 'new situations' they had found themselves in at university and this was definitely one of them.
