Sophie & Jess:

"How was training?" Sophie asked as she laced her arms up and around Aaron's neck.

As he dropped his head so it was resting gently against hers, Sophie playfully placed a kiss to his nose.

"Good. Reck got me a fight."

"Really?! That's amazing!"

Aaron never knew when a fight would be coming next as it all relied on his trainer, Reck scouting out the best people to fit Aaron's skill. Sometimes he could go months without having anything to aim for while other times it could only be a matter of weeks. Considering his winnings were part of his income that paid rent and supported his way through university, he was always keen for them to be a constant thing.

"How about we go out for dinner and drinks to celebrate? My treat!" Sophie was literally jumping with excitement as she noticed the happiness within him however; it was short-lived.

"I can't babe..." He began as he watched all energy disappear and Sophie's expression turn into a disappointed pout. "The fight is in 2 weeks, which means I'm in intense training. I've got to eat and drink the right stuff."

"Oh yeah, I forgot..."

Sophie was unable to hide her disappointment in the hushed tone her voice had suddenly possessed. She knew how things worked this close to a fight, it had always been the same however, it didn't make it any easier to deal with. Depending on the fight, it could go on for weeks or months and it meant doing things which normal couples did weren't possible. Aaron either couldn't eat the particular food or he would be too busy training to go anywhere. He was an athlete, which meant he had to fuel his body in the right way but that was never easy for those around you especially for the durations that it usually lasted.

"Hey, how about you stay over tonight and then I'll make you breakfast in the morning instead?" Aaron suggested as his arms trailed around her waist, urging her into him. Dropping his head, his lips then pressed to her forehead.

Aaron knew how much she hated all of this however; he also knew how supportive she had always been. He wasn't the easiest person to be around when things in training got to this stage but she persevered with it and it was something he had struggled to find from a girl in the past.

"Okay... yeah, I just need to let Juliet know." Sophie replied as she pulled away to get her phone. However, as she turned away from Aaron, the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs alongside two figures appearing caught her attention instead.

"Jess!" Sophie beamed as she walked into the living room with Jack. Rushing over to her side, Sophie then pulled her into a hug before quickly pulling away and holding her at arm's length.

"What are you doing?" She raised her brows in question, clearly trying to show her concern over this.

Sophie was Jess' biggest supporter and wanted her to find someone who would treat her amazingly. However, she still wasn't sure if she believed that was Jack. She knew what he was like; she knew his reputation and was worried he would be far from a good fit for Jess. They were both polar opposites and she wasn't sure Jack would understand her or vice versus.

"We've just been hanging out..." Jess trailed off with a hushed tone. "His brother was here and we took him to the park and that."

"and that's it?"

Jess nodded her head.

"Are you staying over?"

"No." She muttered before looking over at Jack who was now engrossed in conversation with Aaron.
