Harry’s POV

“Harry Styles,” The judge proclaimed.  I was getting nervous.  Niall, Jenny, and Callie were all there by me as I made my way up.  My heart was pounding as I went up on stage.  I grabbed the microphone on stage.

“Which group are you auditioning for?” She asked.

“Dames and Dukes.”  The silence in the room is building the tension I feel in the room.  The lights are dead set in the middle where I'm standing so it's hard to see who is in the audience.  I could make out a couple faces though.

“What song will you be singing?”

“Bad Romance by Lady Gaga,” I can see some confused faces but I don’t care.  I take in a deep breath and begin singing.  I begin feeling the lyrics and I hope I am killing this song.  If some pitch comes off differently than I expect, I try my best to conceal my worry.  I get to my favorite part of the song.

“I want your love and I want your revenge. You and me could write a bad romance.  Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh. I want your love and all your lovers’ revenge. You and me could write a bad romance.”

“Time,” the judge called.  My heart literally skips a beat and I’m not sure what to think.  I see her make notes on my performance.  Did I sing bad?  Did she like it?  Did I pick a good song?  What is she thinking right now?

“Thank you,” I barely managed to stutter out.  Even though my whole body was shaking, I somehow manage to walk off the stage without tripping.  As I make my way out, my friends join me and we head outside of the music building.

Jenny and Callie are both on either side of me and Niall is trailing behind us.

“Are you okay, Harry?  Your whole body is shaking,” Jenny asks concerned.  She’s lightly rubbing my arm with her hand and it just soothes me. Instantly, I start relaxing.

“I’m ok.  Did I do good?  I was scared when she cut me off.” I can hear my voice cracking and I look at everyone and they all smile.

“You did wonderful, I’ve never heard such a good voice before.” Callie said.  She's smiling and it makes me smile knowing she liked my performance.

“I was blown away, I’m sure they do that trick to everybody,” Jenny teased.  Seeing the positive energy from both of the girls really enlightened me.  I was so glad to have both girls in my life.  They both knew what I needed in this moment.

“I approve of it, mate.” Niall agreed.  “I think we should do a big group hug for Harry!”  The girls are chimed in and before I know it, all 3 of them have me surrounded by their embraces.  I tried to hug back, but they have me in so tight I can’t move my arms.

“You all are the best,” I cheered.  We broke from our group hug and returned to normal discussion while walking back to the main part of campus. “Thank you for your support.  I’ll learn if I get the part in a couple days.”

“We can’t wait to hear the results,” Callie smiled.

“I’m sure you’re in,” Jenny winked.  “Well, I know Callie and I have homework to do before tomorrow, so we’ll see you later?”

“Absolutely, anytime.” I said gently.  “Just text me and we’ll hang out and have fun.”

“Ok, I’ll see you later, Harry,” Jenny hugged me and I hugged her back and I kissed her on the cheek.

“I was glad to be there for you, Harry.  Be good.” Callie teased.  We also hugged and I kissed her on the cheek as well.  The girls left us just leaving me and Niall.

“Well, the girls seem quite fond of you,” Niall admitted.

“Yeah, they’re just so fun both of them.” I smiled, “I loved both of my dates with them.  Jenny is sweet, caring, and a very beautiful girl then you have Callie who is funny, witty, and equally as beautiful in a different way.”

“You like both of them, don’t you?” Niall asked seriously.

                “No, I don’t.  We’re just friends.” I defended myself.

“Harry, listen to you.  You talk about them like you would someone you are interested in dating for real.  Not a day goes by that you mention both girls when talking to me or the other mates.”  I thought what about what he said and I reflected on it.  Both of them were on my mind all the time.  What I saw was beautiful in one, was completely different for the other girl.  Jenny is my moon: she calms me and she helps me sort out my problem while Callie is my sun: the one who cheers me up and helps me see joy in life.  I have known from the moment I saw them I was interested in dating them.  Both of them.

“Oh, shit.” I cursed, “What do I do Niall?  I like both of them equally.  What I have with one is completely different from the other.  And what makes it worse is they are roommates!  I don’t know who to choose.  How am I supposed to pick one without breaking the heart of the other?”  Just thinking about it was making my eyes water.  How can my heart be torn exactly in two by these girls?

“Harry, we’ll talk about this.” Niall said. “Just not here.  I’m glad you finally realized that.  I personally have no interest in pursuing one of them right now, so I’ll help you get through this.”  I trusted Niall.  I really do, he’s been my best mate for years now.  I just don’t know how he can help me out here.  I desire both girls in many ways.  They both complete me but in different ways.  One searches deep inside my soul to help me make a better person while the other chooses to help me out by living life and laughing through troubles.  What am I going to do??
