Harry’s POV
I shrug off the covers as I slowly awake for another day of suspension. I’ve been gone for a few days now, but I still have a couple days left on my suspension. Surprisingly, there are good and bad things to being suspended. The good things are I’ve gotten to catch up on my sleep since I’m not going to class whatsoever and I actually have time to study for tests and do homework.
The bad side, however, is while I’m gone all my grades due this week are automatically turned into zeroes which means I’m going to have to work hard for the rest of the semester just to get a decent grade which worries me. So basically I haven’t done much in the way of homework since I technically can’t turn anything in until I get back.
I walk into my kitchen to get a quick bite since it is almost noon and I just woke up. Since it’s a weekday, no one is in the house except me. Jenny’s parents normally don’t show up until late afternoon and Jenny doesn’t show up until dinner time. Jenny has been really helping me out this week with getting notes and grades from my friends, and also teaching me what she has in the general practices since I’ve been gone.
Speaking of Spring Sing, Zoe is supposed to come to the house tomorrow to work on my solo dancing and singing in the climax of the show before we face Nessie. Despite the fact I don’t like being away from the mates, it has actually been nice taking a vacation from Van Buren. I should do a purposeful retreat the next time I do this so I’m not in trouble and can fully enjoy it.
Beyond the usual laying around I’ve been doing recently in the morning since I have nothing to do, I’ve been texting Liam nonstop. Liam is all worried about what all is going to happen to him and Sarah and he’s keeps texting throughout his classes how worried he was and how he can’t focus on anything right now except hope Sarah will get better.
I don’t mind Liam texting me, but it’s gets annoying when he’s literally spending his every second texting his worries to me. I still let him do it though, I’ll keep listening. Or well, looking. I’m not really listening to him because I’m not hearing his voice he’s just sending me his thoughts in a written fashion. Never mind, clearly I’ve been stuck in this house a little too long already.
My concentration gets stopped abruptly when I hear someone putting keys into the door. I look down and I just remembered I don’t have any clothes on. Great. I scramble for the nearest thing I can find to cover my precious buddy and I grab a blanket and toss it over my naked body as Jenny comes in through the door.
Jenny looks very stunned when she walks in the door and she sees me mostly naked minus the blanket covering very little except my upper thigh and hip area. If I’m not mistaken, Jenny is blushing? “Oh, Harry, hi. I didn’t realize you were awake by now,” She said awkwardly. I’m turning red myself now.
“Yeah,” I answered slowly, “You eat lunch here?”
“Sometimes, only on a test day or if a class gets cancelled,” Jenny answered. “But from the looks of you, it looks like you just got up,”
“Yeah, I just did, I’m just enjoying some breakfast right now,” I told her. “I’ll get cleaned up soon, don’t you worry,”
“You’re all right, it’d kind of nice to just talk to you anyway while I eat,” Jenny answered. I didn’t notice when she entered the room, but I feel tension in the air hanging between us. The dirty side of me just wants to grab her and hold her tight in my arms while I plant kisses all over her, but the rational side insists I wait until she’s ready before I do anything. It just takes one wrong move for everything to crash between us again and I refuse to be the one who makes the wrong move.
