Liam’s POV
I adjust my tie nervously as I wait for Sarah to come into the dorm lobby. I can’t pay attention to what’s around me because I’m anxious about what could happen tonight. I see two likely scenarios happen through this either we make up or break up and I hope for the former not the latter. I just my watch and Sarah should be here any moment.
I hear the door click open and Sarah comes out wearing a lovely aqua dress that accentuated her curves and made her look gorgeous. Sarah smiles when she sees me, but it’s duller than what is normal is. “Hello, Sarah, you look stunning tonight,” I told her.
“Thank you, Liam. I also like you in a suit as well. You should wear it more often,” Sarah suggested. “Are we ready to go?”
“Yes, we are, can I borrow your car so I can drive us to our destination?” I asked her.
“Yes, you may,” Sarah answered lightly back. I held my hand out and Sarah took a hold of it to my surprise as we walked out to her car. I’m ready to take England where I can finally drive in my car. It still bugs me slightly that I have to borrow her car all the time for our dates. I seriously owe her a bunch of money for using her car on my planned dates.
I try to break my silent thought train and talk to Sarah. “So are you doing better, Sarah?” I asked her. “I heard you’ve been having a hard time recently,”
“Yeah,” Sarah said slowly, “I’ve just lots to do recently, if you’re wondering, it’s not purely your fault, Liam.”
“I’m sorry to hear that,” I told her, “Anyway I can help?”
“If you perform a transformation spell or do twirl practice or tutor for me, that’d be great,” Sarah teased, “I really need the time-turner from Harry Potter so I can find time to study,”
“I could to, but what would be really great is a spell that could magically put all the contents of a book inside my head so I don’t have to find the time,” I added.
“Now that would be cool,” Sarah agreed, “Or a spell that can do your homework for you,”
“I could use all that the time,” I teased, “I miss the good ole days of waiting for the next Harry Potter book. A great deal of my childhood was spent on those books,”
“It was same way with me here,” Sarah answered gleefully, “I would go to the midnight party the bookstore hosted and then I would get my book as soon as they started passing them out and read it in a week easily,”
“Wow,” I told her very impressed. “I always took like months to get through them. It’s not that I didn’t like them, I’m just not a very fast reader.”
“It’s ok,” Sarah told me sweetly, “Not all of us have the same gifts,” As soon as she said that, we finally arrived to her car. I opened the door for her and as she got on, I walked around to get into the driver’s side which is on the opposite of what I’m used to.
I start the car and I drive to the restaurant. I decide about the delicate issue at hand that is staring me down like the white elephant in the room. “Sarah, I’m sorry for what I said the other day. It was stupid of me to say it and we were both tired out of our minds. I was just overreacting to everything going on,”
