“She’s already making her move, boss. What now?” tanong ng isang lalaki sa tinawag niyang ‘boss’.

“Nothing” simpleng sagot naman ng kanyang boss na nagpakunot ng noo sa lalaking nagtanong.

“But –”

“We don’t rush things like this, Cole. Once she knew everything, that’s when we’ll do our move to capture her... and eventually, make her mine” he replied with an evil smirk plastered in his face that made the other guy shiver.

I’ve been sitting against an enormous tree located in the University’s field, doing some final update towards the Bar Code’s official website, the same as planting some higher safety measures on Ivory Tech’s security for about three hours already and at the same amount of time, I know someone’s staring at me from a far.

When everything’s done, I quickly fixed my things and went straight to my car, a Matte Blue Lamborghini Gallardo, parked at the University’s parking lot.

“Whoa – whoa – whoa! A chicka with a freakin’ hella’ ride!” rinig kong sambit ng isang unggoy na nakatambay sa gilid ng kotse niya kasama pa ang tatlong mga kalahi nitong sakay ng isang convertible sportscar, na pinagpi-pyestahan ang dalawang malanding susong naka-angkas rin dito. I rolled my eyes at them and continue placing my things at the passenger seat of my car.

“Damn! And a feisty one too!” paningit pa ng kasama nitong unggoy rin bago makipag-fist bump sa kauri nilang unang nagsalita.

Then I sensed Rain’s presence reaching the area as I close the passenger seat’s car door and made a quick turn to the driver’s side of the car. ‘Well, it looks like he is done staring at me from a far, eh?’ I mentally smirked at the thought.

“Come on, chicka... Titiyakin naming masisiyahan ka ngayung gabi” sambit ng unang unggoy na nagsalita. Puno ng kamanyakan ang ngisi sa labi ng lalaki at mababasa ang maiitim na balak nito kung sakaling sumama siya rito. Tila hindi rin kumibo ang presensya ni Rain, na para bang inaantay ang kanyang magiging reaksyon sa nagaganap.

‘Well, I just said that I’ll be pretending as a fun and jolly person... not a weak and lowly creature like these bastards in front of me. Might as well give him some good show for entertainment, right? Maybe, just a little not to showy this time’ I said at the back of my mind, before plastering a flirty smile towards the monkey-faced guy.

“Uhm... Sorry but – I’m quite busy, eh? I would totally say ‘Pass’ for now, ‘kay?” I said nicely.

I was about to enter my car when he forcefully grabbed my shoulders to make me face him, before caging me using both of his arms, “I don’t take ‘No’ as an answer, little chicka –”

Hindi pa niya natatapos ang litanya niya nang i-angkla ko ang aking mga braso sa kanyang leeg at hinarap siya ng may nakakatakot kong tingin at ngisi, “I just said ‘No’ you monkey-face” mahinang sambit ko na nagpakunot ng noo ni unggoy, kasabay ng isang mabilis na pisil sa kanyang batok, “Now face the consequences” dagdag na bulong ko pa, bago ko isalubong ang aking tuhod sa kanyang mukha at itulak palayo. Boom! Basag ang mukha ni unggoy.
