Chapter Fortytwo

"So is the baby alright?" I asked the doctor. It has been the only thing on my mind since I had woken back up. The doctor has only now been able to come see me, four hours after I woke up.

"There is a high probability that the baby will be born with brain damage or disabilities. She could also be born earlier than she should," the doctor said. I nodded. I looked over at Simon who was sat next to me, holding my hand. This was hard news. The others were also in the room which is actually quite big.

I replayed the words he had just said in my head. What if she doesn't- wait, she?! As in, a girl! I looked over at Simon and he gave me a weird look.

"Think about what he just said," I said and squeezed his hand. His facial expression went from confused to happy and excited in a flash.

"Oh my god....." he said and hugged me tight. "Riley Edalyn Minter." He said aloud and everyone else in the room finally understood and started cheering.

"This means that you will have to come in for weekly checkups here at the hospital instead of your normal doctor. By the looks of it, you are about four to five months along so anytime now you could expect to start feeling kicking which can be startling but it is completely normal," the doctor finished.

"Thank you so much," I said and he waved before leaving.

I looked around the room, Vikk sitting on JJ's lap, the pack all sitting next to each other, Josh on one side of me and Simon on the other. Then there was Nikki and Harry seated extremely close to each other on the floor.

"Okay, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed but you two have been awfully close lately, haven't you?" I asked in the direction of Harry and my sister. Their faces turned a deep red and the looked at each other as if saying 'what do we do?'.

"Yeah I've noticed."

"Same."

"Me too."

We all had our eyes trained on them. They shifted a bit and looked down at their laps.

"Well, we are kinda together..." Nikki said in a whisper. We all just laughed and told them that we were fine with it and just giving them a hard time.

"But if you ever hurt her, I swear Harry..." I said looking at him seriously.

"Don't worry, I'm in good hands," Nikki said scooting closer to Harry and Harry smiled down at her. I smiled too. Knowing she is happy makes me happy too.

Later on, people started filing out of the room to go record or something more interesting than sitting around in a hospital room all day.

"I'm going to go home for a few hours to record and edit some videos. Is that okay with you?" Simon asked me as he sat on the chair beside me with my hand in his.

"Yeah, yeah, go on. Make the people happy," I said and smirked at him. He smiled back and chuckled a bit before kissing my forehead and leaving. The only person left in the room with me was Tobi.

"Hey, LeeLee," he said as he sat in the chair that Simon was once sat in.

"Hey, Tabi. It's been a while since just me and you have been able to hang out together," I said with a fake pout. He laughed.

"Yeah, I know. So what do you wanna do today?" He asked.
