Dawns POV
"Thanks Linda." I smiled after taking the plate of cookies and candy canes.
"If you need anything else Miss Andrews you know where I am." She replied with a warm smile.
"Linda?" I asked before she had left my room.
"Yes sweetheart?"
"Did mother and father leave a note, or anything before they left?" I asked hoping her answer would be a 'yes sweetheart here you go.' She looked down and back up with a disappointed look before she replied. I already knew the answer.
"No, I'm sorry. Would you like me to cal-" I cut her off because the last thing I wanted was my parents right now.
"No that's fine, thank you for the cookies again Linda." and with that she left.
"Dawn!" I heard a voice coming into my room. I got off my bed and leaped into her arms. "Sierrah!"
Okay yeah so this isn't your usual sister relationship. Sierrah and I got along pretty well, ofcourse we fought but not over little things. I guess it's because I have to look out for Sierrah since our parents are never home. I loved Sierrah beyond words. Too bad she couldn't trick me into anything, I've taught her all her devious ways. How to get out of bad grades, first date, etc, etc. We didn't have a huge gap in our age difference. She was 13 while I'm 17, only four years apart. We looked exactly alike. Long chocolate dark brown hair and greenish grey eyes.
"Sorry I wasn't able to visit you at the hospital, it was the night before my huge recital!" Sierrah said with the most popular puppy dog eyes batting her lashes. I hit her playfully on the shoulder.
"Oh shut up, anyways twerp, how'd it go?" I asked.
"Amazing as usual." She said smirking, identical to Kaydens.
What the heck. Why am I even thinking about him.
"And Mom and Dad didn't show up, also as usual." She said sighing. "Hey Sierrah don't blame em for this one. They were taking care of me." I said apologetically.
"It's fine Dawn, it wasn't a shocker anyways." She said laughing.
"Anyways enough about me! How was the sleepover?" Sierrah asked changing the subject. "Well this year was my year for the dare and let's just say, I'm not single anymore." I said half smiling.
"WHO IS HE." Sierrah asked impatiently.
"Kayden Rivers."
"Wait does he have a little brother by any chance?"
"Sierrah!"
"I'm serious."
"Uhm yeah I think..I can't put my finger on it..Cole? Cam?"
"COLT!"
"Yep. That's him, why may I ask?" I asked popping the p.
Sierrah bit her bottom lip fiddling with her fingers. I waved my hands in front of her face to get her attention.
"Remember when I told you someone asked me out Friday?" she asked.
"Yeah..?" I drawled.
"Well that was Colt, Colt Rivers." She said softly.
"And you said?" I gestured her to continue.
"Yes.." Sierrah replied giving me an innocent smile.
"Isn't he the player at your school Sierrah?" I asked furrowing an eyebrow.
"Yeah, but so is Kayden." She replied her arms across her chest now.
"Colt's bad news Sierrah,"
"So is Kayden."
I sighed, I wanted to tell her everything but I just wasn't ready.
"Some people can be such hypocrites." She mumbled under her breath as she walked out of my room slamming the door behind her. I decided to let her cool before I apologize.
**
I got to Sierrah's slightly cracked door and knocked, "May Big Sis come in?" I asked with an innocent smile. I went in seeing she was still giving me the silent treatment. I sat on the edge of the bed beside her.
"Look Sierrah I'm sorry. I was wrong about Colt, heck I don't even know the kid, and well I just came to say i'm sorry." I stood up and heard Sierrah call.
"Dawn..It's okay, but you have to make it up to me!" Sierrah cooed.
"What?" I sighed.
"Double Date. Colt and I. You and Kayden." She smirked smugly.
"Haha I'll pass twerp." I waved bye.
"Please for your little sister? I will forever love you sister dearest! You even said you didn't know Colt! We'll bond!" Sierrah pleaded batting her lashes. "Okay fine!" I gave in, like always.
I taught her way too well.
