The song in multimedia is the song Nalani and Dawn tried out to for dance.
('Peacock' by Katy Perry.)
Dawns POV
"Hey guys." I said putting down my lunch tray and popping a french fry in my mouth.
"Hey" Mac and Nalani said in unison.
"Where's James?" I asked. I looked around the cafeteria and saw just the usual cliques. Band club, Art club, Jocks, Cheerleaders, blah blah blah. I turned my attention to my right and saw Kayden taking a seat next to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I held back my urge to roll my eyes and replaced it with a sarcastic smile.
"What. No kiss babe?" Kayden asks with a smug expression.
"Don't call me babe." I said rolling my eyes. Babe was just annoying. The word itself made me want to gag.
"Dawn what time are tryouts?" Nalani asked. Nalani and I have always had a passion for dance. Mac on the other hand always loved gymnastics so she had tried out for cheer every year. Since Chelsea's aunt is the Coach and judge for cheer tryouts Chelsea always put in a bad word for Mac so she never got in. But this year there's a coach from Seattle and I know Mac is getting in this year no doubt.
"Right after school, make sure to wait up for me after History." I answer Nalani and she nods back.
"Tryouts for what?" Kayden asked confused.
"Dance." I answered back.
"That means more time with my babe." He said. Now he's just saying 'babe' to make me mad.
"Huh?" I ask confused.
"I'll see you while I'm at football conditioning." He smirked while I rolled my eyes.

"Good luck Mac!" I yelled to Mac by her locker and flew her a kiss. She mouthed thanks with a smile.
Nalani and I got in the gym and started to warm up with the usual butterfly kicks and splits. I was wearing sweats and a tight black shirt.
"Hello girls I'm Coach Kip but you can just call me Coach." Coach Kip said with a warm smile. "I hope you all practiced your routine, go to that table and get your numbers tryouts will start from there." Coach said.
I went to the table and got my number it read 24.
"24, what about you?" I asked Nalani.
"47." She answered.
We got in our assigned groups and tried out from there.

I was sitting on my bed doing homework when I heard the doorbell ring. "Linda! Would ya get that?" I asked since I had endless piles of anatomy homework.
"What happened.." I asked scared as I saw Mac and Nalanis faces upset.
"Have you looked at the tryout results?" Mac asked.
"No.." I opened up my MacBook and went on the school website and went to the cheer results and it read the list of people that got in.
Samantha Gregory
Chelsea Evans
(Oh what a shocker. Sarcasm intended)
Kate Rogers
Sarah Ames
Tia Lanes
Adelaide Moss
"I'm sorry Mac.." I said feeling bad for my best friend.
"Uh why?" Mac asked laughing.
"You know, because.." I gestured towards the computer screen. Mac hit my arm.
"Ouch! What the heck was that for?" I asked rubbing my am.
"For not remembering your bestfriends real name!" Mac said and Nalani beside her laughing.
I furrowed my eyebrows and read the names again.
"Oh.." I say dumbfounded. I call Mac by her nickname so much that sometimes I forget her real name is Adelaide. I jumped out of my spot and gave Mac a big bear hug.
"Nalani have you checked dance results?" I asked.
"Nope I was waiting to see the results together."
I scanned across the names.
Georgia Cunnings
Nalanie Roie
Paige Hammerson
Lynne Coy
Dawn Andrews
Taylor Walts
I decided to have a little fun. I looked up at Nalani with an upset look. "Sorry Nalani.." I said trying to get teary eyed.
"No that can't be right! You should've at least gotten in! You were amazing!" Nalani snatched the computer from my hands and read across the screen with Mac. I burst out laughing.
"I'd be mad that they spelled my name wrong. But after a couple years you get used to it." We all laughed and then they headed home.
Kaydens POV
"You have to tell her." James said sternly.
"I refuse." I answer back with a bored expression.
"Dud-"
"Listen James I can't do anything about Dawn forgetting me. As much as I want her to know who I really am or was to her. It all has to come back to her on her own." I said calmly.
"Fine. But I'm giving it two months and that's it." James said with the same stern tone.
I sighed at the thought, I didn't want to overwhelm Dawn, but I still want her to remember me. Her bestfriend. Not as 'Playboy Rivers'
