Chapter 25: Status Busted
Dawns POV
"Lucas, man! It's been too long." Kayden said approaching Lucas. I was afraid he would beat the pulp out of Lucas. But man I was wrong. They did the guy handshake thing and acted as if they had known each other since they were babies. Hah, sure.
"Kayden?" Lucas asked pulling away from the half hug. "I thought by now I'd see you with trails of girls behind you." He joked.
"Oh he does."
"Oh I do." Kayden and I said at the same time. While I rolled my eyes and a smirk set on his face.
"When'd you get back?" Kayden asked looking over Lucas' schedule.
"A week or so ago." Lucas casually answered.
"Well we definitely have to catch up." Kayden then turned to me and put an arm around my shoulder while I groaned. "All of us." He smirked.
"Gimme that." I snatched Lucas' schedule out of Kayden's hand and viewed over it.

"Hey looks like we're all first period buddies." Lucas said wagging his eyebrows.
"Woohoo." I mumbled with a flat tone

"2.40" The lunchlady said with the same monotone voice she'd been using for the past four years.
"Here. Put the change in her account please." A familiar voice said behind me. I ignored the voice and mumbled a thanks without looking back and walking towards the table Mac, Nalani, James, and I usually sit at.
"Hi guys," I said sitting down and then turning to Kayden. "And Kayden." I mumbled. The girls obviously heard since they were giggling.
"And what, Andrews?" Kayden asked cocking a brow.
"Oh nothing." I said smugly. I looked down to realize I had left my lunch at the register. I was about to stand up when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see no one there and turned back to
"Woah!" I said feeling lightheaded.
"Jerk you scared me." I said hitting Lucas in the chest.
"Is that any way to treat someone that payed for your lunch?" He asked with amusement in his voice.
"Oh, that was you? Well thanks but you didn't have to. I'm not really hungry." I stood up to go throw the salad away.
"Oh no you don't." Lucas said grabbing me by my wrist. "You, Dawn Penelope Andrews, will sit here and eat your lunch." Lucas demanded.
I heard laughter and turned to see it was Kayden. Ah shocker.
"And what is so amusing?" I asked raising my brows.
"Pe-Penelope?" He asked in between laughs.
"Yeah?" I shrugged my shoulders.
"Have you ever heard of the movie 'Penelope' the girl with a pigs nose." He asked.
