Chapter 22: Twisted Truth
"Sierrah! Riley! If you aren't in the car in the next five seconds I'm leaving without you!" I yelled catching the girls attention.
"Five!" Nothing.
"Four." I shut the doors.
"Three." I start the engine.
"Two." I hit the gas pedal hoping they'll hear the sound.
"One." Doors shut and smirk set on my face as I see two teenage girls running towards the car out of breath.
Knock.
Smirk.
Three more knocks.
"Apologize." I say with a smirk planted on my face.
"No!" Sierrah spats crossing her hands across her chest.
"Okay well there's a motel down the street," I hand Sierrah a 50. "Hope you find your way around town." I say closing the windows half way and putting my Chanel shades over my eyes looking back at them blowing an air kiss.
"Wait!" Riley called.
"Sierrah c'mon just apologize." Riley said giving Sierrah a stern look. Sierrah let out a frustrated sigh. She mumbled something but I knew exactly what.
"What was that?" I asked with an innocent voice.
"I. Am. Sorry."
I innocently smiled. "Now that wasn't so hard was it." I unlocked the doors and the girls got in.
I went in a circle in the gated neighborhood and saw the beautiful houses. All looked modern yet simple. Each house had it's own beauty. Some had gardens and others had lots of color.
"Riley is yours the one ahead with the tire swing?" I asked and Riley nodded in reply.
I parked up into the driveway onto the big house. Let me correct that, mansion. It was about the same size on mine but the features were completely different. It was a white hou-mansion. With guards standing by the gates. There was a pond outside the gate and had a well and tire swing. I unlocked the door and let the girls out.
"Hey Sierrah" I called out to her before she left the car.
"Yeah?" She asked. I can tell by the tone of her voice she had forgiven me from before, but hey it was funny.
I looked at the door and saw Colt in view, in his sweatpants and a baby blue shirt. Talk about casual.
"Colt's here? You didn't tell me." I asked furrowing my brows.
"Yeah I don't think he'd need permission to come." She answered back casually.
"But he-" I just decided to drop it. Sierrah's a good girl and my usual migraines were acting up again. "I'll call you by dinner, be ready." We bid goodbyes then I left to go home.
There's nothing I love more than popping a Tylenol in my mouth and taking a nap. Haha I'm kidding. I hate naps but I seem today may be the day I have to take one. I grab my throw pillow and hold onto it while I drift onto a-
'BEEP'
Eh, I'll check the messages after my nap.
'BEEP'
'BEEP'
'BEE-'
"Who the heck is calling!" I let out a frustrated sigh and picked up the phone.
"James, I kinda forgot." I answered biting my bottom lip.
"Well it's too late now. I'm outside and waiting." He answered, his tone different from his usual carefree self.
