"What the heck!" I loudly whispered to Mac and Nalani.

"Whats that line for?" Nalani asked.

"It's the new health science teacher Mr. Loris. He's sending people for no reason! Like Logan for having wide ruled instead of college ruled, Madelyn for not taking 'enough notes', and Carrie for mints. Oh and one more teacher, Mr. Erickson, I heard they're related! He kicked out seven kids but I have no idea why! And as for me, he got mad when I got into class late then I brought the non sharpened type of pencils so I asked the kid behind me for one and when I turned around from getting the pencil Mr. Loris was standing in front of my desk I nearly gasped. He told me unprepared students like me don't deserve to be in his class and then I got mad and mumbled my choice of words, I didn't think he would have heard it but he did so he pointed at the door and said

'If you're so smart I don't think you should be in my class Einstein. Get out.' So I went out quickly avoiding everyone and here I am now." Mac finished.

"Whoa, wait till I write this in my diary." I joked.

"Kidding! Like I'd ever keep up with one" I said dramatically flipping my hair.

We all chuckled.

"Girls, come here" I heard Dr. Turner say. Dr. Turner loved us and she was the best principal we've had.

"Hello girls no need to explain I've talked to your teachers and they've said one months worth of detention." She told us.

All of our jaws dropped.

"Don't worry I have brought it down to one week. what would you girls like morning or afternoon?" She asked.

I couldn't believe this was actually happening this would be my first time actually all of ours and the best part on the first day of school.

"I'm sorry girls I know you probably didn't intend on getting in trouble but the teachers this years are quite different then I thought they would be." She sighed while typing something on her computer.

We walked out with our slips by the time we got our slips it was time to go home. We were in the office for and hour and a half and the first day of school was always a half day.

"Bus or car?" I asked.

We laughed and got into the car.

We got off at the coffee shop trying to figure out ways how to tell our parents about detention.

"I have to feed Binx." Mac said wiping away an invisible tear.

I grabbed my keys and mocha and we got into the car. I turned onto Mac's street and heard a loud honk and I hit my head on the steering wheel.

I tried to stay awake but sleep was close to winning the battle. All I could hear were distant voices calling my name, more yelling. I felt arms wrap around me and tell me to stay awake a little longer. The feeling of haziness and nausea took over as sleep won the battle.
