As I filled two mugs with coffee, two sugars, and milk, I spilled the sugar. Of course. I bent down to swipe it to one side when I heard a mug being picked up from kitchen island.

"Lucas-" I started to warn who I thought was Lucas was about the bitter coffee when it was spit in my face.

I narrowed my eyes and grabbed a hand towel from underneath the sink angrily rubbing the hot substance from my face. "Mac." I growled.

"Whoops?" Mac shrugged smiling sheepishly.

"Whoops my-" I started before I was cut off by the door which swung open.

"Ladies, ladies. No cat-fights in the penthouse!" James joked walking in with Nalani while I shot him a glare.

"Dawn, do you have shampoo." James asked out of no where.

"Uh, yes. Who doesn't?" I asked in a rhetorical way.

"The grapefruit scented one?" James asked his eyes widening.

"Y-Yes?" I said but it came out as a question.

"Can I please have it! I have tried to find it! But I can't!" James rambled on as I shooed him off with a 'sure' and he happily walked, no ran, to my bathroom.

"Now that's a keeper." I chuckled saying to Nalani handing them both the good cups of coffee.

"I don't know why but he's been acting more like a kid as the days go by." Nalani laughed into her mug.

"Well is he hoping to be your baby daddy?" I asked wiggling my brows in a suggestive manner.

"Wh-what! No!" Nalani blushed but tried to hide it by taking another sip as Mac and I laughed at our friend.

"So, I'm guessing you guys came here to either borrow my clothes or to bribe me into something?" I asked putting my mug into the sink.

"Actually we wanted a close up of the rock on your finger." Mac tapped her ring finger on her left hand.

It had been three days since Lucas had proposed and I said yes. I've only told my parents, Zo, Brandon, Noah, Sierrah, Mac, Nalani, and James. I'd been planning to tell Kayden and Chelsea in person. Plus, it was an excuse to see Kailee.

"It's huge!" Nalani said bluntly looking at my ring in admiration.

"That would be an understatement." Mac replied not tearing her eyes away from my ring.

"No need to drool," I chuckled, "It's just a ring."

"The ring." Mac and Nalani said in unison. They had a habit of that.

"When's the big day? Soon, I'm hoping." Nalani asked.

To be perfectly honest, I have no idea. I had been so overwhelmed with everything I was just in awe. I hadn't thought about future plans, but I guess it was time to.

"Good things come to those who wait." I said smugly. Hopefully that'll shut this conversation up for today.

"Good morning, love." Lucas said grabbing his mug off the counter in his business attire giving me a quick peck on the cheek.

"Mac. Nalani." He greeted them with a nod as they smiled back.

"Hey, love? Not that I have a problem with James or anything, but the fact that he's sniffing your shampoo, do we need to send him to a counselor? I know a great one." Lucas joked as I playfully slapped his chest and went to go get James.

Lucas wasn't lying. There James was. Sitting at the edge of my tub sniffing my grapefruit scented shampoo. Maybe the counselor wasn't such a bad idea.
