As I quickly wiped away the tears that had managed to slip out I headed into the elevator. I couldn't let Kayden say the three words that he wanted to say. It was too late. He thinks to tell telling me those three words when I'm getting married in less than two months is okay? And I thought I had bad timing.

He should've realized sooner. Unfortunately, Kayden's father was right. Kayden's life took in control and he lost. He has to learn responsibility and not to push away his weaknesses.

The elevator dings indicating that I've reached the hall. I push away a few pieces of loose strands and smile patting out my gown. As I enter Zoe rushes towards me and I am in no mood to argue but I do feel bad for missing the birthday cutting right at midnight. Zo (and everyone else) put so much work into this and I feel bad for not acknowledging it enough.

The ball room has really been out done. My favorite color is everywhere; burgundy. The stage burgundy and the walls a champagne color with slight shimmer. Glass statues everywhere in sight. The chandeliers really give it the classy look all thanks to my amazing friends.

"Dawn Penelope Andrews do you realize--" Zo started with anger but her face quickly softened when she saw my face clearly. Zoe patted my face and checked my body.

"Zoe. I'm fine." I smiled reassuringly.

"No you're not. You're eyes, they're puffy and your nose, you look like Rudolph." Zo pointed out just to prove that I'd been crying.

"Why. Thank you for pointing out my flaws." I said in a flat tone.

Zo lightly slapped my arm, "Shut up you moron. You have no flaws. Just insecurities." Zo said in a hushed tone as she cupped my face causing me to crack a happy smile. "An insecure person who has to cut her cake right away!" Zoe quickly grasped my wrist pulling me to burgundy-and creme-three-tiered cake which was being lighted with twenty-four candles, eight candles on each tier.

As everyone started to sing Happy Birthday I cut the cake putting a piece into Lucas' mouth first as he kissed me with his whip-creamed lips causing mine to get whip-creamed slightly but I licked it off. Oops.

After I fed all my friends and family we headed to the dance floor. To say Zoe did an outstanding job would be an understatement. She put every little detail into it! For examples there were little ballerina figures carved into the bottom tier of the cake.

"Can I talk to you?" A voice broke me out of my reverie.

I looked up and saw Grace with her husband who was smiling adoringly at her, it was adorable.

"Of course." I said smiling and letting out a hand for Grace's husband to shake.

"Oh and this is Parker, my husband!" Grace said as she put her arm on his while he shake my hand with the other.

Parker was a good 6'2 with dark brown hair almost black. But his eyes were hazel which made his smile so genuine and warm. Grace certainly had an eye for men.

"Nice to meet you Dawn." Parker greeted me.

"Likewise."

"Mind giving us a minute dear?" Grace asked Parker as he nodded kissing his forehead before he left.

"So, what is it that you were dying to talk to me about?" I asked Grace as we walked to the open bar.

"Just wanted to catch up. Plus, somebody already beat me to it." Grace said jotting her head to her right. I followed her head motion and saw the DJ spinning beats around as I sent a look of confusion towards Grace.

"Not him!" Grace chuckled, "Olivia? Mrs. Rivers?" Grace jotted her head once more to where Olivia was standing conversating with Madam Chauncy. Talking about Madam Chauncy I hadn't seen nor talked to her since the ball, I should probably go say hi or something.
