Chapter 33: Digging into the Present

"Don't be scared."

Truth be told, I have no idea where I am or what I'm doing. I gave the stranger my hand who currently had his back faced to me.

I was on a mountain, snow everywhere. It was a beautiful view, until I looked down. Trash everywhere. People running away from danger. The random stranger took me to a hospital and showed me a girl having surgery.

"Why is she having surgery?" I nudged and whispered to him.

"Hush, just watch."

I did as told and saw and old man with his back faced to me, sitting next to the brown haired girl holding trying to grasp her hand but his hand would just go through her hand.

I went towards the girl and tried to swipe away a few strands of hair away from her face. Instead, my hand went right through her face. I went towards the old man and set a hand on his shoulder and it stayed. But then he just.

Vanished.

"What's going on." I sternly asked the stranger.

"Nothing good lasts forever."

The stranger vanished too.

"No come back!"

My voice echoed through the halls, I was getting suffocated in the small room. I left the room and opened the door to a jet. A jet?

"Dawn."

I turned and saw nobody there.

What's going on.

"Dawn."

The voice was growing impatient.

"Dawn!"

My eyes snapped open to Kayden shaking me.

"C'mon!" He summoned me to follow him and I did, a little lightheaded.

"Dawn!" I heard another voice call me and I turned and saw my redheaded bestfriend.

"Zoe." I greeted going into her hug.

"Dawn, you better be here for my first check up, and my baby shower, and my wedding, and oh ofcourse-"

"Zoe." I brought her back to her senses. "I'll be there for everything, you missy, have to make sure you'll be there for my graduation." I gave her another squeeze and turned to Brandon.

"Brandon." I smiled. "Even though it was only two days, I know you're the right guy for my bestfriend." I gave him a half hug and gave Zoe one last bone crushing hug.

"Don't forget to visit!" I hollered over the loud roars from the engine and got into the jet.

"Ready?" Kayden asked me as we settled down.

"No." I truthfully answered. Sure I missed all my friends, but Monte Carlo was amazing, and so was the person-I mean people I was with.

"But I'll live."

I rested my head on the back of my hand, I needed to have that dream again.

What the heck did it mean.

I was smothered with hugs and kisses as soon as I entered my house.

"James, get off!" I yelled at the lunatic still squeezing the life out of me. He blew me a kiss as he let go of me.
