(Rachel's POV)

The dreaded hello.

We all have to face it at some time in our lives.

It's the "Hello, I'm the new girl"

Or the "Hello, our dog wandered onto your yard"

No matter the circumstances, whether they are just awkward or inconvenient, unnatural hellos are uncomfortable, especially when you said goodbye for a reason.

"Rachel... hey..."

Justin and I said goodbye for a very good reason, and this hello had been long avoided.

"Hi"

He stared at me from his bedroom door, and I stared at him from mine. Our rooms might have been opposite each other but our association with one another was miles apart.

"So.... you're hosting?" he asked.

"Yes"

"That's really cool"

"Kind of"

"You – look great"

"I have to go"

His friendliness was angering me.

Justin looked the same yet different. His face had matured but his voice sounded the same as it use to. The familiarity of it made me run.

"Randy shouldn't have come back," he blurted out after me, "This competition... it's not a good place for him to be"

"I guess you will make sure of that"

"A lot of people are angry at him.... You know what he did"

"Of coarse I do" I turned, "I stuck around to watch"

"And I didn't? I didn't try to help him see sense?"

"Trying isn't enough"

"Then what is?"

"Suffering," I said, louder then I intended too, "Suffering is enough"

That's what I did. I suffered to stay by his side.

(Randy's POV)

"Everyone here is sucking up to Justin" Tanner muttered over lunch, "It's disgusting"

Oliver agreed, "This hotel is like one big high school"

"Justin's the king and Rachel's the Queen Bee"

"As if" Oliver scoffed, "Nobody will talk to her because she's related to Randy,"

"She can be my queen bee" Tanner smiled, "Right Randy?"

Tanner's fondness of my sister made me sick. It was one of his qualities that I hated about him most. In Tanner's mind, people weren't people, people were toys, and if Tanner Reed was out to collect my sister, i was on edge.

"She's fifteen..." I said, "A bit young for you, don't you think?"

"I like em' young," he said, "And I like em' fresh. And dude, your sisters fucking hot,"

Oliver laughed with him while I looked off to the side.

"Drop it guys," I warned, "I don't want to talk about her,"

It was dangerous to be stern with Tanner, especially when he was one of my two friends here. But my loyalty with Tanner only went so far. There was a time, maybe a year ago, when i followed Tanner blindly into every fight or battler. But those days were changing, and that change was happening faster now. Rachel was here. Rachel was living here. And Randy the brother, was more awake then Randy the fighter.
