(Randy's POV)
The Ross Hotel was a much friendlier place when you were Justin Bieber's friend and not his enemy.
People didn't bother me as much, there wasn't so much talk, and when I walked the hallways alone, nobody felt the need to slam me or trip me into the walls. He was Justin Bieber, and if he said that I was okay now, people decided that I must be. I was going to be forever grateful. I couldn't have taken another week.
We had two days to get used to being friends before the next contest grouping would begin. I thought I'd spend the weekend with Quinn and Harry, maybe go out and see a movie, and edge my way slowly into the whole being 'friends' with Justin thing. But he had other ideas.
On Saturday morning when I walked into breakfast and over to my normal table I found that Quinn and Harry weren't there.
"Randy!" Justin called at me, "What are you doing?"
He patted the chair next to him at his table, confused at why I hadn't gone there in the first place.
"Oh - sorry - yeah - I was just - um - "
I walked over to him.
Ben, Harry and Rob were already there. There was no Ryan, no Monet, and not an unfriendly face in sight. It was like Justin had planned to make it welcoming for me.
"Our table not good enough for you man?" Ben asked.
"Yeah - I'm kind of embarrassed to be here"
"Want me to leave?" Justin asked jokingly.
"If you wouldn't mind"
I sat down and took my chair. I was shocked at where it was placed. I was by no means 'back in the circle' that Justin led. I was forgiven, and I was protected, but I was no Ben or Rob. They were Justin's main guys, and they mostly sat here, so I sat on edge a little. Maybe this was a test.
But it wasn't.
After a few minutes of table conversation, I could see that Justin wasn't playing any games at all. He was happy, talkative, and he didn't even bring the library incident up. I felt like I was back in the studio, hanging out with a group of my friends.
"What are we doing today?" Justin asked the table.
"We can't go out," Rob replied, "It's mad out there. Fans are everywhere"
"We should all go and see Rachel!" Ben suggested.
I had learnt just to laugh with the others at Ben's obsession and not to worry about it. He was harmless.
"Rachel's not in today," I explained, "She has to do all of the morning after press"
Rachel's job involved little activity during the weekdays, but leading up to and after the show she had a lot of media work to do.
"I was going to see Quinn," i said, "You guys can come. Shes in the penthouse"
"Her dad owns this place doesn't he?" Rob asked.
"Yeah - shes cool though,"
"She has a penthouse," Ben said, "Shes cool enough for me"
"I'm in," Justin answered, "I just want to be lazy all weekend"
We all did.
We were exhausted from the long week of working together and we didn't want to do anything that involved energy. So we just hung out with Quinn, watched movies and lounged around her apartment. Harry stayed with us and he talked a lot, he wanted to hear all about what happened in the library. Justin filled him in and he showed that he trusted him, but he didn't trust him enough to mention the photographs.
