(Rachel's POV)
When Justin, Randy and I were little we loved the movie Toy Story. We use to act the movie out in our bedrooms and pretend to be talking toys. Justin was always buzz lightyear and Randy was always Woody. I never chose a character. I always said that I was just me and that I didn't need any different identity.
"You can be my wife"
I always married or dated Justin in whatever game we played. We just naturally partnered off. We never made a big deal about it. I was a girl and I wasn't related to him; back in those days that equaled a perfect match.
"I don't have a ring!"
"You don't need a ring to be my wife. To be my wife you just have to give me your heart"
"My heart?"
"Yes. That's what love means. It means giving your heart to someone"
I took these words very seriously. I would cut out paper hearts and hide them in Justin's school lunch box or under his pillows. He was satisfied with that. He would put my hearts in his pockets and cry if his clothing went through the washing machine.
Paper was enough in those days.
But everything changes with age.
Now Justin didn't just want my heart. He already had that. Justin had the paper version and the real thing. He now he wanted my voice, my will and my body. Justin wanted to make me his and I was fighting back with one of my weakest attempts yet.
"Are you okay?" Quinn asked me, "I saw Justin yelling at you on the plane"
"Shhh!"
Justin couldn't hear us but he was walking at a nervously close distance. We were waiting to board the boat that would take us over the island and he was leading the pack.
"Rachel please sit with me on the boat"
"I have to sit with Justin"
"I will ask Randy to distract him. Justin will let us sit together"
"No he..."
"Please"
I didn't really need to talk to Quinn. I was okay now. I had pulled myself together after the email argument and I had even managed to walk out of the airport holding Justin's hand.
"Okay whatever..."
"Thank you"
"Let's go!" Ben exclaimed, "Boats boarding!"
Bora Bora was an island in the Leeward group of Society Islands. There was only one boat that took everyone out to the island and back. There was no private travel or celebrity boat. Everyone used the same transport.
"I'm becoming a snob," I stated, "I don't like sharing with the public anymore..."
Chaz laughed at me, "Life with Justin does that to you"
Justin smiled, "Maybe we should make Rachel swim just so she becomes more grounded"
"Shut up" I shoved him.
"I'll put you in.... ready...."
He put his arms under mine and pulled me over to the edge of the dock.
"Justin!!! Don't you dare!!! Justin!!!!"
Justin laughed "It's not cold I promise"
He let my feet dangle over the edge while I tried to find a good grip on his arms.
"Justin put me down!"
"Down?"
"On the dock!"
