(Randy's POV)

Tragic accidents take something different from everyone involved. They steal a part of you and you change to adapt to what is gone and what is missing.

Will's death changed many people.

Rachel lost security so she became strong. She learnt fighting words, and shes being fighting with them ever since.

I lost my trust in humanity so I left humanity behind. I chose to live with dead memories and to avoid life at all costs.

And Justin lost control. I told him to leave and he had no say. I took Rachel from him and he had no say. What happened after the accident was all up to me.

But Justin adapted. He found control and he found power. The tables had turned and he now controlled me. He controlled many people.

But I didn't follow him for same reasons that all the others did. I wasn't afraid of Justin. I didn't care that he knew everyone and everything. Unlike the others, I knew that Justin would never hurt me.

His power didn't affect me.

So why did I follow him?

Why did I let Justin control who I talked to and where I went?

I let him do those things because control comforted Justin. It was how he coped with William's accident, it was how he came to terms with what he had lost.

So I let him have that comfort. I ran by his rules and I answered to him just like everyone else.

That's what brothers do. You know each other's weaknesses but you don't expose them, you protect them.

Justin didn't love control; he feared the loss of control.

So why would I expose or attack that fear? I'd rather give in to it.

"Justin... I'm sorry about last night. I was out of line when i asked to stay and help Oliver"

He was the first at our breakfast table the next morning and I took the chance to apologize while he was alone. Justin had been angry with me after I had proposed that we help Oliver and although i wasn't really sorry i faked that i was.

"It's all good. Sit down,"

I took my normal seat besides him

"Actually Randy I have to talk to you about something... before the other guys get here"

"You and Rachel are together?" I guessed.

"She told you?"

"No - that dumb smile on your face told me"

He laughed still grinning, "So you're still okay with it?"

"Yeah, just don't let me see anything"

"That will be easy. We aren't telling anybody for a while. But I had to tell you"

It was a show of respect.

"Thanks"

"Randy!!!" Monet waved, "There you are!"

"What's that?" Justin pointed to the blue shirt she was holding.

"All of our uniforms for Fear Factor have been delivered to our rooms"

"Awesome!" he exclaimed, "Can I have a look?"

Monet handed Justin the shirt and he unrolled it, "Who is Mandy?"

I looked at the shirt too, "Mandy?"

The shirt looked normal at first. It had the Fear Factor logo and the blue team colours. But on the back of the shirt in white block text it read 'Team Mandy'
