(Randy's POV)

When Rachel was five and Justin and I were seven years old, our favorite game was called 'Family'.

We often played this game with a girl named Sophie Morris who lived down the street from us. She was seven too and she had the best tree house in our entire neighborhood.

We maintained the cubby house as one large family and decided during the later months that we should pair off and start pretend marriages. I married Sophie and Justin attempted to marry Rachel.

"Him said we to young to be married!" Rachel stomped, "Him said we can't!"

By 'Him' she meant William and she was right. William said that we should change our game to pretend dating rather then marriage.

"Him said that would be better that way!"

Back then Rachel used the word 'him' for almost everything and the word 'he' was non-existent in her young vocabulary.

"'Him' is mine"

"'Him' is happy"

"'Him' is my friend"

And "You are my 'him'"

To Rachel, a boyfriend was not called her boyfriend at all. He was her 'him'.

It agitated me to no end and I tried to explain to Rachel that in our game of house Justin was not her 'him' he was her boyfriend.

She never gave in. She insisted that her words were in fact correct.

"Justin is my 'him' and Sophie is your 'hims too!"

"Sophie is a girl!" I would reply sharply, "Justin tell her that she is saying it wrong!"

But Justin never did.

"She can call me her 'him' if she wants too" he would say.

Justin simply learnt to adapt to Rachel's spin on the English language, playing her dutiful 'him' well, and not letting it bother him in the slightest.

"I love you" Justin would say making Rachel turn a cheery pink.

"Hims loves me. And I love hims"

Some people might say that Justin fell for Rachel fast and during the course of a few weeks at 'The Mash Up'. Those people would be wrong.

I was certain that Justin fell for my sister Rachel a long time ago, back when she called him her 'him' and he was too loving to correct her.

~*~

I would never have a quiet and peaceful Friday night at 'The Mash Up'.

Quinn clawed at my arm as we escaped mob after mob of frantic fans, eventually finding refuge in an empty conference room that led off of a busy hallway.

"This is so scary!" Quinn cried, "It's like a war!"

It was a war. The fans were fighting the contestants and we were fighting the security team to get out.

"Don't be scared..."

I waited by the door while Quinn sat back against a wall catching her breath. I listened for anybody that I knew who might still outside in the halls and possibly in trouble.

"If I hear someone we know... I'll bring them in here...."

"What if you accidentally bring in a fan?" she asked.

"I have pretty good instincts. I think I can tell who is who"

My friend's voices were ingrained in my mind and the other contestant's voices were familiar to me also.
