(Randy's POV)

Here's the strange thing about water.

You can't hold it, but it can kill you.

People drown in it. People choke on it. People are crushed under its weight.

But you can't touch it.

It will slip through your fingers and it will swim past your grasp.

How can something you can't touch, kill you?

"So the car windows will be left open," Ben explained, "And the water will flood into the car quite fast,"

"I am pretty good with locks," Monet assured me, "Once I unlock my hands and feet, then I can help you get out too,"

A lot of the pressure fell on Monet for this challenge and I felt sorry for her.

"I won't be that much help,"

"Randy, nobody expects you to be much help," Ben promised, "We are just happy that you are attempting this at all..."

The entire blue team sat eagerly around the pool. We were attempting this task last and I had no idea how Blaine and Alyssa had performed.

I didn't want to ask. If asked then we would be working against a ticking clock.

"Are you ready?" Joe asked.

Ben and Monet both looked at me.

"Yeah, let's go,"

We walked out to the empty pool and down the steps. Once the blue team saw us they began to cheer loudly, supporting us before we were even in the car.

"YOU CAN DO THIS BLUE TEAM!"

"WE LOVE YOU MONET!"

"GOODLUCK MR. RANDY, YOU FILTHY SLUT!"

Even Chow was cheering for us.

"GO MANDY!!!" Justin clapped, "BLAINE SUCKS AT LIFE!"

While my team cheered us on, most of the red team had no idea what to do with themselves. They had never expected for me to make it this far.

"Is Green going to do this?"

"No..."

"Yes - look at him,"

"He is attempting it?"

"Why?"

"It's Green. He doesn't back down from a fight..."

Everyone watching me knew me either as a friend or a threat. Only two people in this room had ever seen me weak. Those two people knew exactly how scared I was right now.

Justin and Rachel sat huddled together nervously. They both offered me smiles and cheers doing whatever they could to support me from afar. But i could see that they were both afraid.

"Hug?" Monet asked.

"Yeah," I put my arm up for an embrace, "Last task..."

"Let's do it,"

We had got to know each other a lot better this week. I appreciated Monet a lot more then I did before.
Monet wasn't a dumb blonde and I was glad that we were doing this task together. She was somewhat of a comfort to me.

"Randy!" Bill called, "You can sit in the drivers seat"

Bill Moore was the head of the safety team. He had been in charge of teaching us all of the safety signals and he was now going to put on the chains and padlocks.

There were four padlocks chaining us separately. Two held ours wrists together and two chained our feet. The chains were long and gave us plenty of room to move about, but the padlocks had to be broken. If we swam up to the surface without unlocking them all then we would fail the task.
