(Rachel's POV)

"It's okay" Jade promised me "It will be fine - there are some normal guys bidding, we might get lucky!"

Together we watched from the sidelines as an old man dribbled his martini down the front of his shirt. I wasn't sure if he had a mustache or if he was half cat. He appeared to be sporting a pair of whiskers.

"Okay - so we could always run?" Jade suggested.

"I can't run! I have to live in this hotel for months!"

"Well then why didn't you just say sorry? Justin Bieber bidding on you is not exactly the worst case scenario!"

"Because I am mad at him. He treats me so horribly"

"Rachel, he turned up didn't he? He was willing to save you!"

That was part of the problem. I didn't want to be saved by Justin. He had already saved Randy. He had rescued him from harms way and social isolation and the thought of him saving me too made me even angrier. He couldn't just walk back into my life after all of this time and fix everything.

Rachel took care of Rachel. I didn't need anybody else.

But as I took the stage and stared horrified at the man who was relentlessly competing in a bidding war for me, I decided that I really did need some help.

"Three thousand dollars to the fine gentlemen in the front row"

He was anything but fine. He had a slimy smile, beady eyes, and he watched me like I was a dessert waiting to be served up.

"Three thousand five hundred!" the second bidder beckoned.

"And we have three thousand five hundred to this gentlemen over here!"

The other bidder was positively worse. He was doing something weird with his tongue every time he made a bid making me cringe and gag all at once.

"Going once, twice...."

"Four thousand"

Recognizing the voice, I stared at the back row. Justin was leaning against the wall, his paddle in the air, a blank, bored expression on his face.

"Four thousand, going once, twice, three times... And sold to the young man in the black jacket!"

He had come back.

This was becoming a recurring theme lately. Slowly, everything that I didn't expect to see was coming back.

Justin went to confirm his bid in the small restaurant office and I waited for him outside. After a long period of time I went inside and saw that he was gone.

"Did he..."

"He left through the back door"

"Oh..."

" Sweet boy he was" the receptionist told me "Although he looked a tad sad"

"Did he say where he was going?"

"No, sorry dear he didn't"

I searched the whole hotel for Justin. I started with his room and I knocked on his door calling for him repetitively. There was no answer. He wasn't in the games room, by the pool, by the theatre, or even in Quinn's penthouse. Rob, Randy and Harry were all together in the movie room and they told me that they hadn't seen him.

As a last resort I checked his studio for the week and I finally found him. He was stringing his guitar on the floor. His back to the wall and a sad expression was painted on his face. I missed Justin. I really missed him. But I resented so much. I was so angry at him.
