(Randy's POV)
"Okay - so here's what I'm thinking. The other groups are either going to sing about the start of a relationship, or the end of a relationship. So I say we do both"
Justin pitched his idea to the three of us on Wednesday morning. We had exactly three days to pull this together and I was feeling the strain. Last week I had been relaxed, mucking around and roaming the hotel with my team. This week was much different and we were running behind the clock.
"How do we do that?" Taylor asked.
"It's easy. We couple up. One couple is singing from the start of a relationship, and the other couple is singing from the end"
"That's good," I liked it "So we are showing the irony of love?"
"Yeah - we all think it's going to be great at the start but it gets tough and it can end really badly"
I added to the idea, telling Justin that at the end of the song the four of us could come together as one, and end it with some hope.
"That's a good idea, Taylor can you write that down?"
"Absolutely"
Taylor had become quite useful now that she wasn't 'Team Director' and she was choosing to work with us and not against us.
"I still prefer the bestiality idea" Bonnie expressed "With the prince and the horse?"
Bonnie hadn't changed at all. Her antics were becoming more and more peculiar. At the start of the meeting she had bent down to pick up a pen and clearly flashed a pair of boys grey underwear that she was wearing under her skirt. Justin claimed that they were his and he furiously insisted that she give them back. Having not thought his request through at all, we all discovered that Bonnie clearly had no problem with public displays of nudity.
The entire block of studios heard Justin's screams.
"PUT THEM BACK ON! PUT THEM BACK ON! PUT THEM BACK ON!"
After an hour-long tantrum Justin finally agreed to come back into the studio.
"Okay, so who is going to sing with who? I bags singing with Taylor!"
"No! Justin, you and Bonnie have better chemistry!"
"Bullshit we do!!"
Neither of us wanted to sing with Bonnie. If we were partnered with Bonnie, we were responsible for on stage, and i didn't have that type of energy.
"Taylor you can choose" Justin smiled "I don't mind, I just think we would make a much more convincing couple..."
Taylor beamed, "I- I think so too, sorry Randy. I want to sing with Justin"
On the way to lunch it was my turn to send Justin slamming into the wall.
"Dude, when she starts stealing your underwear then you can complain!"
"Shut up!!!"
Taylor joined our table for lunch and dinner that day and helped us get the song written. It wasn't amazing, but it was something, and at such at late point in the game, anything was better then nothing.
Our theatre time was scheduled for Thursday afternoon and we had limited time to put together our performance.
"Okay so the choreography is simple," Justin explained, "Me and Taylor just need to act all lovey-dovey and you and Bonnie need to pretend you hate each other"
"That won't be a problem" I replied.
Although faking hatred towards Bonnie was easy, keeping her on the stage and focused on what we were doing was not. She constantly scheduled her own breaks, running away without telling any of us where she was going, and she rarely came back.
Bonnie attempted stage dives into empty seats, she sought after people deliberately on stage in order to trip them, and she started the argument of the ages when she tried to de-pants Justin during one take of our song.
"I'm done! That's it!" Justin shouted, "Stuff this!"
I sat with him outside of the theatre for twenty minutes talking him out of his bad mood, reminding him that in two more days we would be on vacation and snowboarding down the slopes with Rachel. It worked and his attitude switched around fast.
"I'm getting my driver to drive my Jeep over, that way we don't have to get a hire car"
"You sure?"
"Yeah" Justin nodded "Rob's parents house is on the drive up, so we can drop him off on the way and give him a ride back at the end of the week"
"Cool - so focus on the trip dude. Forget Bonnie. Lets go and help Taylor out"
But Taylor found us first, exiting the theatre in hysterics claiming that she was also done.
"How are we going to control her?" she broke down, "She won't cooperate!"
We were going to have the same problem as Bonnies last group had experienced. Once Bonnie stepped off of the stage, we would be disqualified instantly.
"I have an idea..." Justin whispered to me "But it's not exactly - legal"
"What is it?"
"We spike Bonnies drink with Rachel's pain medication"
"What the...."
"Hear me out - it makes you sleepy, right? Rachel was out of it once she took it. It would calm Bonnie down!"
"Justin - Bonnie is high on drugs ninety percent of the time, and your best idea is to mix prescription medication into her already messed up system?"
"Oh yeah - she might die..."
"Yeah - that small little problem"
We really were in trouble.
