This Time

Chapter four

I tried to go back to sleep, but it was hard to. I tossed and I turned and tried to count upto a hundred but nothing worked. I then started to think about what happened today at the park. The more I thought about "The Ben Thing" the more I fell hot and sweaty. I went down to my kitchen and drank a glass of water, then went back to my room and read some books on Wattpad. I fell asleep with my phone in my hand.

Usually on Sundays my mum and I would go watch a movie together. But today she wasnt home. I was worried so I quickly grabbed my phone and called her.

"Hey Honey! Im sorry I wont be able to take you out today" She sounded like she was with another person.

"Uh, thats alright. Where are you?" I asked

"Haha, Im busy! Im coming home at 9, so make your own dinner"

"Okay, bye love you!" I said

And she ends the call. I wonder what she is doing. Who is busy on Sundays? I go to the kitchen and open the fridge. Nothing. There what nothing to eat. I reach for my phone and call Emily.

"Hey" She says happily

"You wana come over?"

"Yeah, sure. Im bored" se replies

"Hey and uh, can you bring food?" I said whiling crossing my fingers

"Um okay" And she ends the call.

15 minutes later I hear a knock on my door. I opened it and there I saw my bestfriend with one medium sized pizza and a big bottle of sprite. Yum. She walked in like asif it was her own house and placed the pizza on the dining table.

"Dudddeeeeee!" I say with a huge smile

"Hah. Yeah, lets watch a movie!!" She said excitedly

We watched The Croods. The pizza was soo good. After the movie we washed up and we went up to my room and just talked.

"Do you think James thinks about other girls?" She seem worried.

"Nah, you're the only one for him. Your babies will looks so cute"

The rest of the night was boring because we slept early. I woke up to the smell of pancakes. I brushed my teeth and changed for school. Later I went down to the kitchen and saw my mum making pancakes and tea. Emily was siting at the dining table waiting for our breakfast. She was already dressed for school.

"Morning honey, take a seat! Breakfast is coming" said my mum

"Uh, okay. When did you go home?" I turned to Emily

"An hour ago. Can we take a cab to school?" Emily asked

"No, no! I'll drop you two off!" My mum insisted

"Okay then" i said

When we got to school James stole Emily from me so I walked to my locker by myself. As I walked in Zoe was walking pass me and she whispered

"I bet you're happy"

I was confused. Happy? For what? I got to my locker and got my books out. When I shut my locker Ben was standing next to me. I suddenly remember what happened in the park again.

"Uh.. Hi Ben! I have to get to class it getting late and all so... Yeah" And I walked as fast as I could.

But then I remembered! First period was Maths! In Maths class I tried my best to avoid him. Well, basically I tried to avoid him the whole day. At lunch I sat with Emily and James. They were acting so lovely dovey as usual, but today I didnt go to the library. Just in case, you know.

Last period we had PE. We played volley ball because it was rainning so the baseball team and the cheerleaders couldnt practice. We were put into four different groups, there are at least 30 people in my year. There were only two people that I knew in my group was Mae and Hunter and the other four were Zoe's minions, I think. Emily was with Ben and Zoe was in James. Emily couldnt keep her eyes off of James.

Im not really good in Volleyball, so my team kept losing.

"OMGG! You like totally suck" said one of the minions.

I turned my head towards her then BAM!!! Someone throws me to the ground. The coach runs to me. What the heck just happened?! Everyone starts surrounding me and I felt suffocated. I fainted. When I woke up Emily was standing there looking at me.

"Where am I" I asked Emily.

"Nurse's office"

"You almost got hit by the ball, so Hunter threw you to the ground" Emily wanted to laugh.

"Thats such a small thing, Im so weak" and I sighed.

As I walked out Ben was waiting for me at the door.

"Hey, you alright?" he asked.

"Haha. Yeah, there was alot of people there so I couldnt really breathe properly" I replied.

"Okay, then. We need talk" He said.

He looks serious.

"Um okay...."

"About that day at the park.." While scratching his head.

"Oh. That. It's okay! " I said and by then I wanted to run back home.

"Im just really sorry" said Ben.

"Its fine!" and I walk to my locker to get my stuff.

"Well, thats not all I wanted to tell you"

"oh? " Im confused.

"Well, its that um. I think you're really.. Pretty and.."

As he was finishing off with what he was saying I remembered that I had a yearbook club meeting!

"Oh my! Im so sorry Ben! I have to go for my meeting" I said.

"Uh, its alright"

"Im so sorry! I'll talk to you next time okay?" and I run off.
