This Time

Chapter twelve

I was awaken by the sound of my front door.

"Hun, Im home" my mum shouted from downstairs.

I checked the time, it was 7:05. I slept for 2 hours only. I sat up, placing my head in my knees and my arms clinging tight on my legs at the thought of Hunter and I becoming siblings. What can I possibly do?

My mum walks into my room.

"Hey dear, I know this is too much and all but everything is last minute. So, would you like to be my maid of honor?"

"Uh.." I say

"Please. I dont know who else to ask. And Andrew moved up the date for the wedding"

"Uh okay then"

"Also, will you do the honor of picking out some wedding dresses that would look nice on me? I've been so busy lately with the company and all, so I need your help. Please"

What the heck is she thinking.

"Sure" I say

My mum looks at me and then kisses my forehead.

"I'll go make us some food to eat" and she walks out

-phone vibrates-

*WHAAT IS GOING ON?* Emily finally switched her phone on

*Too much things. Im not in the mood, hang later or sth* I replied

**At the dress store

*Hey! Im sorry I cant make it! Grounded again* From Emily

I walk around the store. It is so big. There's about more an five sections. I not only have to get the wedding dress, I also have to pick out the dresses that the brides maids are suppose to wear. What a drag.

My phone rings.

"Hello? Lea?" the sweet sound of Hunter's voice unleashed the butterflies in my stomach

"Hey, Im pretty busy right now. I'll call you later?"

"Where you at?" he asks

"Maple's"

"Okay, I'll be there soon"

Moments later Hunter arrives.

"Hey" and he pecks me on the cheeks.

"Haha hi, I told you that Im busy"

"ah, I'll help you out okay? And when we're done I want to take you somewhere" He says and gives a goofy smile

We talk as if there's nothing big going on.

"Um.. Alright then. I have to choose like 2 or 3 dresses for my mum and then pick out the dresses for the brides maids"

"Why does your mum need 2 or 3?" says hunter

"So that its easier for her to choose one that looks the best on her"

"Okay lets get started then" he stands up, grabs my arm and runs towards one of the sections

Most of the dresses are either too puffy or too revealing. It was harder than I thought.

"Oh wait! I think I've found a winner" I say as a reach for it.

The dress was beautiful. Not too plain, the length was great and the whole design was just amazing.

"Ahh... Its beautiful" I say to Hunter

"Hm.. I dont know. Why dont you try it on?" He said with a smirk on his face

"Eh? Im not sure"

"Just go put it on!"

I stick my tongue out and then walked to the fitting room.

As I walked out Hunter was going through a magazine filled with pictures of wedding dresses.

"Wow, seriously?" I giggle

"Oh wow! You look so beautiful" says Hunter and his eyes start to fill up with tears

"Hey whats wrong?" I say as I hug him, gently stroking his back to comfort him.

He pulls away and looks at me.

"You look so beautiful, and.. and its so sad that I wont be the lucky person that will be waiting for you at the alter. I wont be the one to wake up every morning to find you right next to me, we can't start a new life together, make a family together and all those stuff. I will always be the brother and nothing else" Hunter looked sad. His eyes were like heavy clouds in a storm, raining and raining.

Seeing him like this makes me feel dead inside. How am I supposed to reply to that? I never even thought about that.

I lifted his chin up, I wiped off the tear and kiss him. Thats the only thing I can think of. It feels right. I finally pull back.

"We can run away" I whispered.
