This Time

Chapter twenty six

I walked out of the Lab room after Chemistry and as soon as I looked to my left there stood Eugene. I got so furious and quickly marched up to him.

"Hey! You! Ghost boy!" I spat out.

He turned around.
"Uhh?"

"What's your problem? Thanks to you I couldnt sleep last night. You know how hard it was to stay awake in my practical?"

Dan rushed to us.

"Is it the spooky brokey thing?" Dan let out a sigh

"Yeah. I was so freaked out that I couldnt even get an hour of sleep last night"

"I told you to stop with the pranks, Gene" he said to Eugene.

"I'm so sorry Lea. Eugene doesn't really know when to stop" Dan added.

"Yeah okay. I leaving now soo.. bye" I said as I turned my back on them.

*DAN'S POV*
"Bro, what the fu-" Eugene said with one hand out and eyes opened wide.

"I know. Sorry about that ahha"

"Why be on her side when you barely even know her. I dont even know her"

"Well, I kind of like this one" I said.

"Ohh.. You're welcome then" a smile started to grow on Eugene's face.

"For what? You really scared her".

"Maybe in her eyes you're like a hero? All thanks to me of course"

Eugene was the first ever friend I made when I first got to Uni. He is cocky, confident and loves playing pranks almost all the time. Overall he is a good dude.

"Quit fooling around, Gene"

"If you're into her then just ask her out man"

"Yeah, I just need to find the right time. I dont want to desperately go up to her and ask" I say.

"Are you not desperate?"

"Im going for class" I walked off with a grin on my face.

Today is Thursday and according to the timetable Lea does not have any classes after Chemistry. Now.. Where could I "coincidentally" bump into her? Oh! The cafeteria! She is still new so I'm guessing that she wont be wandering off anywhere else just yet.
I walked to the cafeteria and just my luck, she was sitting on one of the bean bag chairs.

"Oh! Hey Lea! I didnt know I would run into you here" I was nervous.

"Yeah" she looked up.

"Would you like to watch a movie this Saturday?"

"Oh?"

"And maybe we could have dinner? After the movie?" I asked nervously.

"Umm...okay"

I let out a breath.

"Oh cool. I'll get you from your dorm. I have to go now, see you around?" and I ran off.

*Lea's POV*

Dan is taking me to the movies, how nice of him...wait is it a date or? Maybe someone is forcing him to do it but oh well. He ran off so quickly but whatever, I cant stand his accent anyways..it's too thick. No offense.

I was studying when Kendra walked into the room.

"LEAAAAAA"

"Hello?"

"I'm going to a party tonight. Do you wanna come?" I asked happily.

Party..I thought of what happened the last time I went to a party and shrugged.

"Um..no thank you" I replied.

"Aww come on? Why not? It'll be fun"

"I'll study. I have a test on Monday so"

"It's Friday Lea! You still have Saturday and Sunday to study"

"I'm a nerd." I gave a dry laugh "You go, I'll just stay."

"Party pooper" she gave me sad face.

"Which one looked better?" Kendra grabbed a silver dress from her closet. "This one.." and she grabbed another sparkly red dress "or this one?"

To be honest, they both looked the same. Both sleeveless and short.

"The red one?" I replied.

"Thanks" and she stripped out of her outfit and put on the red dress.

She asked me what she should do with her hair and I told her that she should let it down. About an hour later, Matthew came and picked Kendra and I'm left alone in the room.
