Friendship
"Are you okay?" The teenage girl asked the lady who's now occupied by picking up her books that was spread far and wide on the field. After making sure she got all of her things, she stood up and face the girl who helped her.
"I'm fine, thanks to you." She put on a friendly smile she could muster.
"It's nothing, just be careful next time. This school is surrounded by bullies and I might not be there to defend you if they're up for another prank."
"I'll keep that on mind... Miss?"
"Oh I'm sorry where are my manners, I'm Kathleen, freshmen student."
"It's nice to meet you Kathleen, I'm Jade."
The teenage girl just found a keeper. She told Kathleen everything about her – her childhood, families, and most especially about the love of her life, the one who-cannot-be-named, all of which she have told the keeper except her fatality.
"Here are some pictures during her first day of school, she's so cute isn't she?" Jade shared a photo of her girl to her new friend while they were having late lunch at the school's cafeteria.
"Where's the face?" The new friend asked, looking at the girl's photo only showing her back.
"It's confidential sorry. I told him not to take pictures showing her pretty face just in case someone might get interested, she's just mine you know." In a serious placid tone, Jade sounded like an obsessed lover.
"Geez she's all yours I'm not a lesbo. Anyway, who's he?"
"He, the photographer. I paid him to watch over my girl for me." She bluntly answered while putting some mozzarella cheese over her pasta.
"You're so full of mystery, why can't you just give me names?"
"I'll tell you soon I promise."
"Okay, if you say so."

"Jade this is my cousin Loraine, Lo this is Jade my best friend."
"Hello I'm Loraine Vianda Alcantara, it's nice to meet you Miss Jade."
They sealed it by simply shaking hands.
"You're so formal, no need for Miss I'm not your teacher." The three girls slightly giggled. "How about I call you Lovi? Is that okay?"
"It's perfectly fine for me Jade."
"I think Lovey suits you very well." Kathleen commented.
"It's Lovi, not Lovey you twat!" Jade noticed how her best friend turned a little red and she's still puzzled if it's because of humiliation or because of something else.
"Come on you guys, we're already running late." Lovi diverted our little tease and we all proceeded to our first class.

The girl now learned how to make new friends and started to live like other normal teenagers – passing the exams, making adventures, experimenting, proms, it's all part of growing up.
"Don't tell anyone, promise me Jade."
"I promise Kathleen. Don't you trust me?"
