" You look beautiful" I hear from a couple feet behind me.
I look over to see Stella walking into the room dressed in her beautiful white wedding dress. Every girl in the room was gawking at her. She absolutely did look beautiful. She kept her log blonde hair down with a few wide curls at the end. Stella had decided to skip the veil but added a small accessories to the top of her head similar to a miniature crown. The dress was a mermaid styles with her dress hugging her model body.
Louis was going to fall in love with her all over again when he saw her in this.
" I'm getting really nervous" Stella smiled.
" drink a glass of champagne" her sister said as she handed her a glass.
I turned back around to look at myself in the mirror as I finished my make-up. Stella wanted everyone's make-up to be elegant yet simple, similar to our bridesmaids dresses. Our dresses were all rose gold shiny long dresses. They were all different styles, due to our different body types but that they went really well with each other.
Stella decided to go with four bridesmaids. Her sister Dani, her best friends Lily and Leigh, and I were the ones that she had decided on. Keeping with the idea of four, Louis also chose four groomsmen. He chose Harry as his best man, his brother Alex, close friend Jake, and finally Zayn. Yes, Harry and Zayn were currently in the same room and worried the crap out of me. I hoped they were being civil for Louis' sake.
The wedding planner came into the room and started to count everyone in the room, making sure everyone was accounted for. I looked at the time and realized it was time for the wedding. The wedding planner rushed all the bridesmaids out the room and down the hallway.
I looked back and saw Stella's older brother walk into her room. Stella's father had died a year ago from a heart attack. I remember going to the funeral to support her in her time of grief. I knew the pain she had felt and I wanted to be there for her. Stella's brother was the one that had held onto their mother during the funeral. I had had to step into his father's shoes. It was something I had never personally seen before, a boy stepping up and becoming the man of the family.
It had reminded me of Harry. That was what Harry had to do after his mother was killed and his father was locked up. He had to watch over Jess.
We all gathered around the hallway behind the door to the wedding. As the women around smiled excitedly, I watched the groomsmen walk towards us. The first one I saw was Harry. An involuntary smile appeared upon my face. As soon as he smiled I looked away. I need my relationship with Harry to be at minimal. A smile was enough. All I wanted was for him to have a relationship with our daughter.
Louis seemed nervous. His fingers were fidgitting. Beads of sweat were forming on his forehead.
From far behind Zayn appeared. It was pretty clear that Harry and Zayn were trying their hardest to stay away from each other. The weddings planner ordered us to get into formation that was clearly practiced at the rehersal two nights ago. Dani was paired with Harry, Lily with Alex, Leigh with Jake, and I was paired with Zayn. Louis told me that Stella wanted to pair me up with Harry but with all of our history he knew I'd wouldn't go for it.
The music started, and we all started to walk down the aisle. Each pair went down the aisle one at a time. By the time it was my turn with Zayn, I could already see Harry standing at the end of the aisle looking straight at me. I don't know what took over me but I couldn't help but imagine if this was us, getting married. I imagined a world where everything had been worked out and we were finally getting a happy ending. The way he looked at gave me butterflies like all those years ago.
