Yuri Katsuki
"Wow! The view from here is amazing..." I look away from the French alps visible through our hotel window and at Victor. That kills my grin. He looks 100% uninterested as he opens up his suitcase.
"Victor?" His expression is slightly lost when he looks up at me.
"Yes?"
"Did you hear what I said?"
"Huh? No, what is it?" He really didn't hear me? But his ears are supposed to pick up a bees buzz from a mile away.
With a sigh, Victor flops onto his bed and lays there like a starfish. He can't be tired already. He slept during the entire flight here.
"What's up V?" I get on my knees by his bed and observe him with a smile. I can't look too concerned or he'll get defensive.
"V?" He turns his head in my direction and raises an eyebrow in amusement. He's trying to conceal the exhaustion that is increasingly evident on his face.
"You don't like it?"
"No I do but what happened to Vicchan?" I frown. Vicchan is my late dogs name but he doesn't know about that. Have I called him Vicchan before? No. Of course I haven't. I would die of embarassement if I did.
In responce to my confused expression Victor laughs and plays with my hair; "you called me Vicchan in your sleep once" slowly but surely I feel my face turn bright red.
I'm ready to die
"Don't be embarassed! It was really cute" that doesn't help. I just feel a larger urge to crawl under a rock. Plus, I don't think it suits him.
"But Victor, somebody strong like you shouldn't have such a nickname"
"Strong? Strength isn't something you're born with you know" I don't think he gets me.
"No silly, strong" I poke his chest so he understands me. I know he's physically strong but when I think of him, I think he has a strong mind, a strong heart. Somebody who suffers and comes out smiling will always be powerful in my eyes.
Victor's lips part in what I asume is mild surprise as he gives me that intense stare, like the one he gave me at the beach a few days ago... before we kissed...
I can still remember the feeling of his lips against mine; it was a simple peck but it was my first kiss and a memory I'll take to the grave.
The strong vibration of my phone in my pocket jolts us both out of the intense moment. I pull out my device and see Pichit has sent me a message.
》hey Yuri! What are you up to? Do you think you'd like to go to get some coffe down the road with your bestest friend?
I smile at his message, I can just hear the pleading through his words. I guess Pichit and I haven't spoken properly for a while.
"Who's that?"
"Pichit. He's just invited me out for coffe at that place we sore down the street" I stand and get my coat and scarf after I send Pichit a text of confirmation.
