This song is relevant to Victors rutine so you might want to give it a listen
Victor Nikiforov
If I put a couple of quads at the end that could....
"What are you doing Victor?" I look up from my notepad to see Yuri skating over to me. He's wearing a black fitted V neck top and black leggings that just make him look genuinely stunning. As always.
"Well the winter Olympics are coming up and I'm working out what I'm going to do for my free skate" I smile at Yuri as he peers at the list of moves on the notepad. He doesn't look convinced, wich is a bit deflating for me.
"Are you sure you can do two quads in the second half? What if you injure yourself?" Giggling at his innocent concern is inevitable.
"I'm a vampire, a good one. I can do it"
"Have you had something composed? What is your theme? Have you been training? The Olympics are soon you know" As to shush him, I press my smiling lips against his;
"Do you think my theme could be Yuri Katsuki?" The truth is, my free skate is about him, it symbolises our ups and our downs but what I most want to portray is that we're holding it together, we are the masters of our violent tides. That's why the song I'm skating to is called Master of Tides. It perfectly captures what I want. I want to show that love, my love, doesn't and won't die.
"W-what? N-no!" Yuri blushes from his cheeks to his neck as his adorable stutter kicks back in.
"Can I skate it for you?" The mood switches form playful to intimate without a seconds notice. I've skated parts of the rutine before, but never all of it together. I want Yuri to be the fist to see it.
"Of course" Yuri nods to me and I nod back before heading over to the speakers and wiring my phone up to them;
"Could you play it when I signal?" He silently takes my place by my phone as I take to the rink, skidding smoothly to a stop when I'm at the centre.
"Yuri I want you to watch carefully, figure out what story I'm trying to tell through this dance" My inspiration nervously nods as I position myself, one hand reaching for the sky like my heart was subconsciously reaching for love and one toe stuck in the ice representing my anchor to what I knew. Cold and emotionless.
Yuri registers my silent queue and plays the music. It starts slowly and my body mirrors it, my hand closing around air and coming to rest apon my heart as I twirl out of my starting pose. Quickly enough the pace builds and I'm preforming a thoroughly rehearsed step sequence. I studied the way Yuri skates to do this, in my eyes he's the king of footwork, the way he pours raw emotion into it is unparalleled. So naturally I learned his techniques, not only because he's good but because this section represents when we first met, it represents the way my heart lurched when I saw his eyes up close, the felling of falling, falling for him, falling hard.
The music slows again and I glide backward, eyes closed and arms open, welcoming love, something I never thought I would do. Continuing with loose and fluid movements, I skate a figure eight around the rink, preparing for the next quickening of the violin. For the transition from slow to faster I stretch into a passionate Ina bauer, followed by a sit spin wich I follow up into a layback spin. For me this is sinking into Yuri's past, causing myself pain to get to understand him better. It's good pain, pain shown by the grace of the spin. In the defining moment that the music kicks back into gear I've already speed skated into a triple axel, landing it with perfection. I barely have time bofore my combination triple toe loop and double axel jump but I need to prove a point, the time in which I discovered things about Yuri was no calm before a storm, it was storm after storm after storm. These jumps show my will to fight, my will to climb any mountain, regardless of how high, for Yuris love and happiness.
