"Victor! I've done it!" I explode through his bedroom door, arms up and out of my navy cloak in celebration. Only to find he's not here.

There's only one other place he could be at six am.

My grin drops to a smile as I walk the empty corridor and descent the staircase, offering a smile to Sebastian who's standing at the foot of it.

"How are you this morning sir?" He asks once I've reached him.

"Great! The embargo has been lifted Sebastian!" I exclaim grandeously, slapping his shoulder before turning and walking to the door.

"Wonderful your highness; where are you going?" He jogs up to me and opens the door I'm standing infront of; he knows well that I hate touching door handles.

"To the rink. That's where Victor has gone no?"

"I saw him leave but he did not say where. I'm sure you are right." I nod and step into the cold morning.

"Should I get the car sir?"

"Oh no Sebastian. I'll walk" he doesn't protest and I don't wait for him to, already waving him off and gliding down the path to the gate with strong wind blowing under my cloak and through my hair.

Today is a good day. The UN called and informed me the Emperors ban against Victor has been revoked. It's brilliant to hear that my weeks of relentless work really payed off. I can't wait to see Victor's face when I tell him we can finally save his Yuri.

With a spring in my step I exit the castle grounds and make my way down the road.  It's interesting to go out early in the morning, the view of the street isn't the same. Now black cars drive up and down and business people pass me on eather side, staring at me as they speak through phones or earpieces.

In the day the roads are reduculously busy and not only business people roam the streets, but there are tourists, and horses, and people showing their talent to make a bit of money. I prefer that.  It's like a small drop of every type of person in the world had been used to create the scenes on the daytime streets.

I'm jerked out of my thoughts at the feeling of something colliding against my legs. When I look down a small boy looks back up at me; he's fallen on his bum and is staring with huge sparkling hazel eyes, as if there trying to eat my image.

"Wooow. Are you King Jewel?" He asks in a small voice, showing his baby fangs when his mouth falls open. Children's fangs have always made me smile, they're so small and harmless.

"I am. What's your name?" I squat all the way down to his level and offer a friendly smile.

"Erik" he says as his eyes focus on the gem in my eye socket.

"Well hello Erik" I put my gloved hands under his armpits and lift him to his feet, clothes have less germs than hands.

"Why is your eye like that?" He points where my right eye should be. I'm suprised it doesn't scare him, it's not very nice aesthetically.

"Not many people know that I used to be a warrior" I whisper, side glancing the lamp post next to us to make it look like I'm telling him a state secret.

"Really!? Did you fight monsters?" He jumps up and down exitedly. Hell, the men in the wars I fought, they were monsters. We all were.

"I did. Lots of them. Sometimes I had to fight really big and bad monsters, one of them stole my eye and wouldn't give it back." I explain. That'd the nicest way to put it really, I'm not going to tell a little boy that a sword sliced my face and eye ball in half.
