With a huff I flop onto my bed and lie face up. Watching the dark cieling as I listen to classical music through the radio JJ had brought. He may be a dick but at least he sticks to his word.
Today is only the second day and it's been long. I haven't even done any of the hard work. Two guys brought a narrow black wardrobe into my cell hotel as I like to call it and another two guys brought a factory worth of clothes that I had to spend hours picking through. To my greatest annoyance most of the clothes were sleeveless and summery. For reasons I understand but do not accept.
At last it's over though. And I can enjoy my moment alone with sweet violins that take me away from here.
"You have a shit taste in music" the sound cuts as I jump slightly in suprise. My suprise increases when I turn my head and see Plisetsky standing by the radio with that usual vile look on his face. I had forgotten he was one of my guards too.
He looks different. Is he broader? Taller too? He's definetely taller. Hes probably going through his 'spurt' between the ages of 15 and 20 vampires have accelerated growth. It must be Yuris time, he's a late bloomer.
"Shouldn't you be outside?"
"I was but this music was driving me crazy."
"Aren't you always crazy?" I sit up and frown at him in complete seriousness. He needs classical music, maybe it's the lack of it that making him so angry.
"Are you trying to get punched or something?"
"Maybe but let's not forget what happened the last time you tried to hurt me" his shoulders fall ever so slightly as I smirk triumphantly.
"Whatever freak" He huffs like kid throwing a tatrum and falls heavily on the floor, crossing his legs and arms with a crease in his eyebrow.
He can't seriously be twenty years old.
Also, ten minutes of scilence is a little more than awkward.
"So... what music do you like? ACDC? Fall out boy? Eminem? Niki Minaj?"
"Um... that was impossibly accurate" Yuri averts his eyes and fiddles with a loose string from his ripped jeans.
"I'd like to think I'm good at people" with a sigh I return to my previous position and rest my head on my hands.
"Oh. Youre good at something? I wasn't aware" I scoff involuntarily and shoot him a glance.
"What are you good at other than being insufferable?"
"I-" Its shoking to see that he closes his mouth and says nothing. It also makes me feel like shit. I don't know why though. I don't really give a toss about the blond kid.
"That was out of line. You're good at skating." He doesn't reply to my words but I can feel his green cat eyes on me. I'd be speechless too, if he said something nice about me.
Again there's profound scilence I feel the need to fill;
"I like ACDC too you know. You can bring a CD or something next time you come."
"What's your favourite song?" I turn to him again, a little uncomfortable at the way we're conversing normally. It's a first.
"Shoot to thrill. What about you?"
"Highway to hell. It's very relatable to me" he murmurs as he ties his hair into a pony tail. It looks much better that way. Less feline and emo. More human.
Not that he'll ever be anything close to human.
"Because you're going to hell?" I chuckle but it quickly runs out when I see his face. He looks like his mind is in a deep hole.
Could it be that he regrets his actions?
"Yuri?"
"Yes" he finally looks directly at me and I'm suddenly confused. This isn't the Yuri Plisetsky I know.
Then again I don't know him really. However something tells me that will eventually change.
"You don't need to follow in your dad's footsteps. They are footsteps down the road to hell"
"Who says I'm doing that?" He snaps, failing to intimidate me.
"I do. Are you?" I raise an eyebrow as he lowers his.
"Shut up and listen to your dirty music" Yuri slams the radio button and the classical channel kicks back to life as he sits facing away from me.
Well... you cant break a wall with one hit.
