BUCKLE UP BITCHES!
Victor Nikiforov
"Do we know the drill?" Valentino asks as he ties his hair back into a pony tail, watching me and Jewel through the rear view mirror of the truck.
"Get in. Kill everyone. Save Yuri." Jewel and Valentino sigh simultaneously as the lights turn green. We're here now, we're driving through the night in the shadow of the black juggernaut that looms over west Moscow. Finally.
"Isn't It more like... I make Yakov give Yuri to us then we flee in the ambulance your friend will be waiting for us in?" Jewel interjects. We all know that won't really go to plan, somebody is getting injured today. It's a grantee. I'm personally ready to injure all of them, they're all evil and deserve the hell they'll go to.
"You didn't bring a gun did you Victor?" Jewel asks, one eyebrow up inquisitively.
"I've got that. It's in good hands" Valentino says as he parks smoothly infront of the tower. The one thing that gets on my nerves about Jewel is his insistance on pacifism. I understand it in most settings but here? No way. These people don't have human rights, they lost those long before they did this.
"Oh, they clearly knew we were coming" Valentino cuts the engine and points to two guards by the entrance. Usually they just relie on the doors by themselves as they're made from thick metal.
"I'll deal with it" we wait for Jewel to stick to his word but he just stares through the window as if he's a tourist admiting the view.
"Jewel?"
"Shh. I'm rusty" he continues staring at the guards hard and just when I'm about to throw my arms up and get things done myself both the guards topple, one after the other like dominoes.
"Did you just make them pass out with your eyes?" I ask while Valentino and I stare out the window in amazement.
"In theory, yes. It's and ancient mirror magic tequnique, I'll explain it over tea later." Jewel leaves the car and once we get over the shock, Valentino and I scramble to keep up with him.
"So, this door is locked" Valentino notes after trying to push open one of the tall metal doors of the building.
"Then barge it" I say.
The Doctor and I do barge the door with our shoulders about three times and it doesn't even make a sound.
"Excuse me" Jewel pushes us both behind him and stands before the door, taking a deep breath
"Don't tell me you're going to open it with your mind or something" I scoff. I just want to be inside. Now. I have somebody waiting for me.
"I'm not a sorcerer supreme Victor" he huffs. Then, he leans back slightly and kicks the door, full on ramming the bottom of his boot against it.
There's a loud crash and the doors just fly open, like they're made from paper.
"Holy mother of Nyx" Valentino breathes.
I feel the same for a few seconds, until I notice something strange about the looby.
"Where's all the security?"
Valentino checks his watch; "In bed?"
"This is unlike Kolya" I mumble to myself, entering the building and disregarding the desk worker who I can hear trembling from his hiding place behind said desk.
"Maybe he's so drunk on blood he's taken his eye off the ball" Valentino proposes from behind me.
All of us know what blood he's refering to. The connotations of those words make me gag as I press the up button on the elevator.
