Valentino
Yuri tries to wave me off with a limp hand but I just cant go; not when blood is cascading out of his mouth like there's no tomorrow.
"I'm calling Victor" I declare, knowing that his fiancé is one of the select few that know his ground shattering secret.
Wrapping my head around the fact that human and vampire blood coexist within Yuri is still proving to be a struggle. I have a reputation of being a scientist with outlandish ideas that are a little too fictional but even I didn't see something like the existence of an Abnormis as a possibility. This species... it was almost a fact that they were purely created to scare vampires and humans out of breeding with each other.
Now I've got a person right in front of me who isn't really a person, he's a hybrid, born of vampire and human I assume. And his pain is very real.
"Don't!" He wheezes before entering a violent coughing fit.
I don't understand. If this were to happen to Chris i would want to be there, regardless of how painful it is to watch, because the truth of the matter is that my husband and I are one vessel; we suffer together, we laugh together, we cry together, we do everything together. That applies to Yuri and Victor in the exact same way. I dont need to be told to see that they couldnt possibly survive without each other.
So why doesnt Yuri want him here?
Actually, I do recall Chris saying that Yuri has issues with his mental health. It's likely that the way he sees it is that he doesn't want Victor here because he doesnt want to be seen as weak. That is an issue. It's an issue because it's not true at all.
Too caught up in my own thought, I hadnt realised that Yuri was no longer coughing. His chest isnt heaving eather and his hands no longer grip the edge of the bath properly.
"Yuri?" Putting one hand on his back, i kneel next to him and try to see his face. As i thought he's completely out cold.
But not dead. thankfully not dead. His breaths are shallow but he's still in there.
I carefully carry Yuri out of the bathroom bridal style, placing him on the bed and immediately scrambbling for my phone that was hidden under my mess of papers.
"Hey honey, how are the papers going?" Chris replies almost immediately after I speed dial him;
"Are you still with Victor?" There's confused scilence on Chris' side before he speaks again;
"Yea, is everything alright?"
"I need to speak to him" I feel a pang of guilt at how cold I must sound on his side but there's nothing I can do when a man is out cold on my bed, Victor's man.
"Valentino?" I feel a little less anxious at the sound of Russians voice. Nobody can help Yuri like Victor can, even when he's passed out.
"You need to get here now, get to room 326 as fast as you can and don't bring Chris with you"
"Why? What is it?" The poor guy already sounds like he's having a panic attack. I can't imagine what it must be like to go through this. For both Yuri and Victor. I really don't blame the Japanese skater for having a breakdown in the interview earlier, I admire that he kept himself together for so long given the circumstances.
