"What's going on?" I asked and Jen sighed, shifting her weight to her right hip.
"She's... Kelsey need to go to the hospital," she said and I shook my head.
"Wha.. what're you talking about?" I asked and Jen shrugged.
"Whatever you did to her last night," she started and I held up my hand making her stop.
"What? We watched a movie last night, she fell asleep," I said before stopping.
"Remember now?" Jen asked and I nodded.
"She woke up and came and snuggled with me. I must've done something in my sleep..." I trailed off and Jen nodded.
"Look Nate, I think you're a great guy but right now, Kelsey is my first priority so I have to go," she said and I nodded.
"Yea of course, go, make sure she's safe," I said and she nodded walking away. I knew something like this was gonna happen. I shouldn't have been so careless! I turned and punched the side of my bus with all I had, regretting it right after.
"Feel any better?" Someone asked and I turned around, seeing a random guy standing behind me. I shook my head and he shrugged. "Sucks... maybe try a couple more times," he suggested and I shook my head. The guy walked away and I looked around again before running inside, grabbing my keys, and jogging to my car.
I got in, started it up, and drove to the hospital, playing Kelsey's ep Stardust.

"Hey, I'm checking in on my- my friend," I said to the nurse behind the front desk.
"Name?" She asked and I nodded.
"Right sorry, Kelsey Jones," I said and she nodded, "she came in with broken ribs," I added and the nurse looked up at me.
"I'm sorry, it's family only," she said and I nodded.
"When will I be able to see her?" I asked and she shrugged.
"Depends on her," she said and I nodded, turning around and sitting down in the waiting room.

After a couple hours of pacing, going on my phone, and more pacing Brain came out.
"Nate? What're you doing here?" He asked, walking over.
"How is she? Is she ok?" I asked and Brain looked at the hall behind him.
"She's gonna be fine, you did quite the number on her though," he said and I ran my hand through my hair.
"Why? Why wasn't I more careful?" I asked and Brain shrugged.
"I gotta go," he said and I nodded.
"Wait! You aren't family," I said and he nodded.
"Yea, I know," he replied as if I were stating the obvious.
"The nurse said it was family only," I said and Brain shrugged.
"You can come with me," he suggested and I nodded.
"Thanks," I said following him down the hall to the right.

I walked in Kelsey's room and saw Jen sleeping on the bed beside Kelsey and Mike and Jonny were sitting on the floor playing cards.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing here?!" Mike shouted, glancing up and seeing me.
"Whoa! Careful man, we're on the same side," I said and Mike scoffed, standing up.
"Really? Because last time I checked I didn't toss my best friend on the floor!" Mike shouted and I stepped toward him.
"That was an accident," I said, sounding ten times more calm than I was feeling.
"Oh sure! Because people 'accidentally' toss their friends onto the floor at one in the morning!"
"You wanna fight me?" I shouted and Mike smirked.
"You think you could take me?" He asked and I nodded.
"Hit me," I said and Mike laughed.
"No, no," he said pointing at me "I've been in my fair share of fights, I know that tactic."
"Guys!" Kelsey shouted and we both looked at her. "Be quiet," she said, stroking Jens hair.
"Sorry," I said crossing the room and standing beside her bed.
"Oh are you?" Mike asked and I sighed.
"Yes, I am," I said, gripping the side handle of Kelsey's bed and looking down at the bed.
"I know you are," Kelsey said and I felt her warm hand on mine, loosening my grip on the bar. I looked up at her and she smiled kindly.
"I really am sorry Kelsey, I didn't... I ha..."
"Nathan?" She asked and I nodded, taking her hand in mine.
"That's me," I said in an attempt at a joke and she smiled, slightly amused.
"Good to know," she said and I nodded again. "Pull up a chair," she said and I smiled, turning and grabbing the chair behind me. I put it beside the bed and sat down, interlacing our fingers and kissing her hand.
"So sorry, I am so sorry," I repeated until she let go of my hand and ran her fingers through my hair.
"I know you are," she whispered.

After a couple hours I left to get some food and when I came back Kelsey was alone in her room with Mike.
"I brought you a sandwich," I said as I walked in, "I don't know what kind you-" I stopped when I saw Mike sitting on her bed.
"Turkey," he spat and Kelsey put her hand on Mikes.
"Careful," she warned and Mike looked at her.
"He hurt you, he broke your fucking ribs!" Mike exclaimed and Kelsey nodded.
"And? You're saying you've never hurt me? You're saying that you've never been so fucking waisted that you did something you regret? Hm?" She asked, clearly mad, and Mike looking down almost as if he was ashamed of what she was talking about.
"Kelsey," he whispered and she shook her head.
"I am so damn tired of double fucking standards," she said before looking at me. "What did you get me?" She asked and I glanced down at the sandwich in my hands.
"Turkey," I said and she smiled.
"My favourite," she said, holding out her hand. I walked over and handed her her sandwich.
