"Hello?" I said as I opened the door and coming face to face with Nate.
I quickly closed the door and leaned on it as Nate knocked on the door.
"Kelsey please let me in, I just want to talk," he said and I took a deep breath and stepped away from the door, opening it.
"Kels please, hear me out," he said and I shook my head.
"No, Nathan, you hear me out," I said and he stopped and nodded.
"Ok," he said and I thought for a second.
"I can't- you- I can't talk to you right now, Nathan," I said and he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.
"It's been three months Kels," he said and I nodded.
"And I'm just trying to get over- I just don't understand what the hell went through your mind!" I exclaimed and he nodded again.
"Then let me explain," he said gently, "let me come in, I'll wait for you to get dressed and then I'll explain," he said and I was suddenly aware that I was still in my towel.
I slowly nodded, moving away from the door and he walked in and sat down on my bed. I grabbed my bag and went into the bathroom to get dressed.
After I got dressed in my pyjamas I sat down and started painting my nails as Nate explained."So you're saying that Jason scared you off?" I asked and he nodded.
"Well when you say it like that it makes me sound pathetic," he joked and I sighed, looking at my nails. "Look Kels, I'll do whatever you need for you to forgive me just please," he said as he walked over to me and knelt down, taking my hands in his. "Please forgive me, I love you," he said softly and I just looked at my hands in his.
His hands were rough and warm, warming all the way up my arms into my chest until the warmth met with the butterflies in my stomach.
"Nathan-" I started but got choked up and tears started down my cheeks.
He whispered "no, nonono," as he dropped my hands and started wiping away the tears. "I'm sorry Kelsey, I know I'm a screw up and I know I've hurt you," he whispered and I sniffled a little. "I love you Kelsey and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to prove it."
I nodded slightly and he kissed my forehead before pulling me down onto the floor and into a tight hug.
"I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry," he whispered over and over until I pulled away from him and stroked his cheek which was now wet with tears.
"How is it we always end up here?" I asked, chuckling, and he smiled slightly making my heart hurt.
He kissed my forehead gently again before laying me down on the floor.
"Lets figure this out in the morning," he said quietly as he laid down beside me and I nodded, rolling onto my side and laying my head on his chest.
He sighed and rubbed my shoulder until I fell asleep."Wake up Kels," Nate said as he kissed my collarbone. "It's 8 in the morning and your phone is going off like crazy," he said, bringing his face up to mine as I opened my eyes, smiling.
"I have a meeting in half an hour," I said sleepily and he nodded, kissing my nose.
"How long is the meeting gonna go?" He asked and I shrugged.
"An hour or ten minutes, I really don't know," I said and he laughed.
"Some meeting," he said and I shrugged.
"It's more of a formality," I said and he nodded.
"Well you should get ready," he said and I sat up and rubbed my eyes.
"I know," I mumbled as I stood up and opened my bag, pulled out a white undershirt, a black tank top, and ripped jean shorts.
I got dressed and did my makeup before kissing Nate's cheek and leaving.
