"Hey, you can't just say something like that and leave it at that," I said and Jen nodded, leaning against the wall.
"Kelsey's scared of commitment," she said and I nodded slowly. "She knows it, I know it, and if there's a God up there he knows it too," Jen said and I looked over into Kelseys room.
"That's not what I was talking about but good to know," I said, looking back at Jen.
"The thing about Kels being raped?" She asked and I nodded. "She doesn't like to talk about it."
"She isn't you," I said and Jen laughed.
"A few years ago she was raped and she hasn't dated since. She hasn't actually opened up at anyone either," she said and I looked back at Kelsey.
"Who raped her?" I asked and Jen nervously glanced behind her.
"I really shouldn't say," she whispered and I leaned forward. "No, I mean I'm not going to say," she said, looking straight past me and I looked behind be, seeing who she was looking at, and I nodded slightly.
"Fine then, be that way," I said and she smiled.
"Kelsey wants you," she said nodding to Kelsey's room.
"Hey sweetie, what's up?" I asked, walking over to her.
"Nothing, just got a little lonely," she said and I smiled, kissing her forehead.
"Ok Kelsey," someone sighed, walking in, and I turned to see a doctor with a clipboard.
"How'm I doing doc?" She asked and he stopped, seeing me.
"Nathan," I said, stepping forward and holding out my hand.
"Dr. Mars," he replied, shaking my hand.
"So when can Kels get out?" I asked and the doctor sighed.
"As soon as she likes. We got your brace made, you can have it whenever you're ready," he said and she sighed.
"I am more than ready," she said and the doctor nodded, writing something on his clipboard.
"Great! I will run and grab that for you right now then," he said before leaving.
"He doesn't like you," Kelsey said and I shrugged.
"Most people don't," I said and she laughed.
"I do," she said and I kissed her nose, brushing her bangs off her forehead.
"We'd have a problem if you didn't," I whispered before kissing her and she ran one of her hands up my arm.
I pulled away and smiled, kissing her nose again.
She sighed happily, laying back and closing her eyes as I sat down beside her bed and caressed her forehead.

An hour later the doctor came back with three interns and Kelseys brace.
"I'm gonna need you to stand up Kelsey," the doctor said and she nodded, sitting up.
I rushed to the other side of the bed and grabbed her hand.
"Nate," she said and I looked at her before loosening my grip. After getting a dirty look from her doctor, I helped her off her bed and she put her entire weight on me as the doctor showed the interns how to adjust the brace so it fit comfortably.
"Thanks so much Doctor," Kelsey said, leaning on me, and the doctor smiled and nodded.
"Not a problem, and you have someone to take care of you and make sure you wear the brace?" He asked and Kelsey nodded.
"A whole lot of someones," she laughed and he nodded again, glancing at me.
"Can I have a word with you?" He asked Kelsey and she nodded.
"Of course," she said and he glanced at me again.
"Alone," he said and she gasped a little.
"Oh! No, whatever you're gonna say you can say it in front of him," she said and I nodded.
"I just wanted to talk medication," he lied and she nodded.
"That's not what you wanted to talk about," I blurted out and he looked at me.
"Of course it is," he said, a confused look on his face.
"No, you wanted to urge her to go to the police because you think I broke her ribs," I said and he nervously looked down, playing with the corner of the paper on his clipboard.
"Well that might've come up in the conversation," he said and Kelsey sighed.
"Nathan," she whispered and I took a deep breath, calming myself. "Let's just get back on tour," she said and I nodded.

We filled out the necessary paperwork before leaving and getting back on the road.

"You're sure you don't wanna travel with them?" I asked as Kelsey sat down beside me.
"I've had about all I can handle of them for right now," she said and I nodded, putting my arm around her. She sighed, laying against me and going on her laptop.
I scrolled through Facebook for a little bit before I heard someone talking on Kelsey's laptop.
"Sorry," she whispered, turning down the volume, when I looked over.
"No, it's fine," I said, moving so I could watch too. "What is this?" I whispered after a few minutes and she laughed, pausing it.
"House," she said and I nodded.
"Got it," I said and she laughed a little more and played it.
