I lay on my stomach and watched Nate sleep. He was so perfect. The blonde hair and perfectly chiseled jawline. He started grinding his teeth as he slept and I placed my hand on his chest. I smiled softly when he stopped grinding his teeth and the corners of his mouth turned up in a grin.
I slowly removed my hand from his chest and he grabbed my hand and put it back on his chest. I smiled and kissed the corner of his mouth before laying my head on his chest and closing my eyes.

'How could you abandon your own son?' Margaret asked, stepping out of the darkness. I shook my head, stepping back.
'I-I didn't, he's in good hands with you,' I said, almost begging.
'Marry me, Kels?' Nate asked and I turned to see him on one knee with the most beautiful ring in his fingers.
'Nate...' I breathed, 'I-I can't.'
'Mommy?' I heard a little voice asked behind me and I gasped a little, turning to face Charlie.
'Margaret is your mom Charlie,' I said and he shook his head, running and hugging me.
'You're my mom,' he said and I nodded, a couple tears falling down my face as I rubbed his back.
'He's got your eyes,' a deep, rough, voice said behind me and I shook my head quickly.
'No, no, nonono please god no,' I whispered to myself as I turned to see a familiar face standing where Nate stood barely a second ago. The guy was tall with blonde hair that went down to about his chin and a bit of a goatee. His brown eyes showed no emotion, though I wasn't expecting any, and his ripped flannel showed off his muscular arms.
'You said you loved me then you claimed I raped you? I thought we were in love,' he said and I shook my head, stepping back.
'No! No, I was drunk you never should've- no decent man would've- you should-'
'Kelsey?' I heard Nate ask and I turned but saw no one. 'Kelsey? Kelsey,'
I sat up and, still muttering my justification, 'I was drunk, I was drunk,' looked around.
"When?" Nate asked and my gaze snapped to him, immediately meeting those beautiful, kind, eyes.
"Long time ago," I said and he nodded.
"You were crying, are you ok?" He asked and I nodded, letting out the breath I had apparently been holding in.
"Bad dream," I said and he nodded, pulling me into a hug.
"It's over now, you're safe," he said into my hair and I nodded slightly, breathing in his intoxicating scent. 'I thought we were in love.'
I jerked away from him and, before I knew what I was doing, hopped off the bed. Nate looked up at me, his blue eyes full of concern with a tinge of hurt.
"Sorry..." I whispered, looking around, and he stood on his knees and crawled over the bed to me. He stood up and hesitantly reached out to cup my face in his hand.
"What's wrong?" He asked and I shook my head slightly.
"Sorry," I repeated and he shook his head, placing his other hand in my other cheek and stepping closer.
"You have no reason to be," he said softly and I looked up at him, finally making eye contact. He lowered his face down to mine hesitantly and I closed the distance and kissed him, pressing my hands on his back and holding him against me.
He kissed me again, his kiss softer than mine, more caring.
I shook my head a little, kissing him desperately, pushing him down on the bed.
"That must've been some dream," Nate teased and I stopped. He smirked and pulled me down onto him by my waist. "I didn't mean for you to stop," he said into my neck and I smiled, kissing his neck twice. He kissed me roughly before tugging my shirt over my head and tossing it away. After, he kissed me roughly again, making my lips hurt but I pushed it aside and pulled his underwear off.

"You sure it was just a dream?" Nate asked, laying on his side and looking down at me, playing with my hair. I nodded, adjusting the blanket covering my chest.
"Just a dream," I lied and he nodded, kissing my forehead before laying down and closing his eyes.
I lay in bed trying to sleep but failing horribly for a couple hours before getting up and running myself a bath. I spent half an hour in there before I drained the tub and crawled back into bed.
Still unable to sleep I warmed up the tea Nate made me earlier and sat down, turning on my laptop. About an hour later I had gotten very into my work when I felt warm hands on my shoulders, working the knots out. I sighed before I felt a kiss on my head. Nate sat down beside me, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
"Couldn't sleep?" He asked and I shook my head, resting my chin on my palm and looking at him.
"I didn't mean to wake you," I said and he shook his head, kissing my forehead as he got up to make some tea.
"Your absence in bed is what woke me," he said and I nodded, finishing what I was working on.
"Sorry," I said and he smiled at me.
"Stop apologizing," he chuckled and I turned off my laptop.
"What do you wanna do?" I asked and he shrugged.
"Movie?" He asked and I nodded.
"Sure, what do you wanna watch?" I asked and he shrugged again.
"You said you wanted to watch Civil War again, we could start there," Nate suggested and I nodded. I grabbed my laptop and walked over to the bed, tossing it on the bed before sighing and running my hands through my hair.
"Kelsey, what's bothering you?" Nate asked and I sighed again, turning to see him walking over. He stopped in front of me and I buried my face in his chest and he slid his arms around me.
"I had a dream," I said and I felt him nod.
"What was it about?" He asked and I took a deep breath of his musty axe smell.
"A lot of stuff," I said and he sighed. "Mostly my fears," I said after rethinking my answer.
"Did it scare you?" He asked and I shook my head as a couple tears slid down my face and onto his shirt. I stepped back and he wiped away my tears, sighing slightly. He kissed my forehead and I smiled, taking his hands in mine. "If it didn't scare you what's wrong?" He asked and I sniffed a little.
"Nothing, it just got me thinking," I lied after a minute of thinking. He nodded and nodded to the bed beside us.
"Still wanna watch that movie?" He asked and I shrugged.
"Maybe just get some more sleep," I suggested and he nodded, kissing my forehead before walking around to his side of the bed and laying down. I snuggled up to him and he held me tightly.
After a minute I fell into a deep dreamless sleep.
