I'll just text her and if she texts me back we'll go from there I thought as I sat in my car and looked at my phone. Before I even knew what I was doing I'd texted her;
Nate/ goodnight I love you
I tossed my phone into the cup holder and sighed, kicking the inside of the door.
My heart skipped a beat when I heard my phone vibrate.
Kels/ seriously?
Nate/ of course, I'll always love you
Kelsey/ really?
Nate/ where are you?
Kelsey/ in a hotel room
Nate/ where?
Kelsey/ the one three streets from the studio
I put my phone down and started the car, pulling into traffic.

I paced in front of her door for a minute before knocking.
"Hello?" She asked as she opened the door and her face fell when she saw me. She quickly closed the door and I sighed, resting my arm on the doorframe knocking with the other hand.
"Kelsey, please let me in, I just want to talk," I said, dropping my arm as the door slowly opened revealing Kelsey standing in a hotel towel, her hair wet and falling over her shoulders.
It was hard to believe she'd ever been more beautiful.
"Kels please, hear me out," I said quickly and she shook her head, jutting out her jaw.
"No Nathan, you hear me out," she said and I surprised her by nodding.
"Ok," I said when she didn't say anything and she looked at me for a second.
"I can't- you- I can't talk to you right now, Nathan," she stuttered and I sighed, rubbing the back of my neck.
"It's been three months Kels," I said and she nodded.
"And I'm just trying to get over- I just don't understand what the hell went through your mind!" She exclaimed and I nodded.
"Then let me explain," I said quietly and she sighed quietly, "let me come in, I'll wait for you to get dressed, and then I'll explain everything," I said and she nodded slowly. She stepped away from the door and I walked in and sat down on the bed.
I waited patiently for her to get dressed and braid her hair. She sat down at the desk in the room and started painting her nails which is when I chose to explain.

"So you're saying Jason scared you off?" She asked after thinking over what I told her for a second.
"Well when you say it like that it sounds pathetic," I said jokingly but she sighed, looking at her nails so I stood up and walked over. "Look Kels, I'll do whatever you need for you to forgive me just please," I said, kneeling down in front of her and taking her hands in mine, "please forgive me, I love you," I said quietly and she looked down at our hands. She was so warm and soft, I missed her so much.
"Nathan," she whispered after a minute before the tears that had been welling up in her eyes spilled over and she started crying.
"no, nonono," I whispered as I dropped her hands and started wiping away the tears. "I'm sorry Kelsey, I know I'm a screw up and I know I've hurt you," I whispered and she sniffled a little. "I love you Kelsey and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to prove it." I said and she nodded. I kissed her forehead before gently pulling her down onto the floor and into a tight hug. "I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry," I whispered over and over as I started to cry until she pulled away, a faint smile on her face.
"How is it we always end up here?" She asked as she wiped my tears away. I smiled a little before kissing her forehead and laying her down on the floor.
"Let's figure this out in the morning," I said as I laid down beside her and she nodded, rolling onto her side and placing her head on my chest.
I sighed quietly and rubbed her shoulder until her breathing evened out.
