"There you are!" Jen shouted as soon and I walked onto the bus.
"Here I am," I said, a bit shocked.
"We were starting to get worried," she whispered and I nodded, taking my jacket off.
"Woo hoo! Strip for us baby!" Mike shouted, standing on the table.
"How about you all go and lay down?" I asked and Jen sighed.
"But I wanna party!!" She shouted and I sighed.
"I know sweetie," I said, walking over. "We can party tomorrow," I said and she whined a little before turning around and walking to the bunks.
"Now you," I said to Jonny and he nodded, stumbling sleepily to his bunk and laying down.
"You can't make me go to bed!" Mike said and I sighed, leaning against the counter.
"Come on Mike," I said and he sighed, sitting down.
"Strip for me baby," he whispered and I shook my head.
"Over my dead body," I said sarcastically, turning around and getting myself a glass of water.
"Well we wouldn't want that now would we? There's only so many beautiful women left on this godforsaken planet it'd be a shame to loose another one," he said and I laughed, putting my glass down.
"You really are drunk aren't you?" I asked and he shook his head, standing up and walking over to me.
"No," he whispered as he brushed my hair off my shoulder, his breath stinking of whiskey. "No sweetie, I haven't had a single drink."
"And yet," I said and he squeezed my shoulder.
"And yet what?" He asked and I flinched.
"Mike you're hurting me," I said and he nodded, letting go of my shoulder and stepping back.
"Sorry dear, didn't know you were such a pussy!" He spat before slapping me and I let out a little scream.
"Kels? You have my wallet," Nate said, opening the door and walking in. He stopped and looked around, seeing me and Mike a second after he stepped away.
"Mike, I didn't know you were up," Nate said and he shrugged.
"Well now you do," Mike replied and I stepped away from him and grabbed my jacket from the couch.
"Here's your wallet, sorry I forgot," I said, shoving it into Nate's hand.
"Nathan! You're actually just in time for the show!" Mike called and Nate looked at me curiously.
"Shit," I breathed and Mike walked over. He grabbed my arm roughly and turned me to face him.
"Yes," he whispered, "see Kelsey here was just about to strip for me, weren't you sweetheart?" He asked, his grip on my arm tightening.
"You're drunk Mike," I said and he laughed before backhanding me, keeping his grip on my arm.
"I... said... strip!" He whispered fiercely, tearing the shoulder on my shirt.
"And I said no," I said angrily though my voice was shaking out of fear.
"Oh," he chuckled, "is that what you say?" He asked. "Well I don't damn well care!" He shouted, raising his hand to hit me again when Nate shoved me aside and tackled Mike.
"NATHAN!" I screamed but he just kept punching Mike. I ran over and grabbed Nate's arm as he drew back to hit Mike again, "Nathan please stop! He's drunk! He doesn't know what he's doing!" I begged and he looked up at me for a second, his beautiful blue eyes hard and angry.
Reluctantly he put his arm down and fell onto the floor.
"Why do you defend someone who raped you?" He asked quietly and I sighed, inspecting his hand.
"Mike didn't rape me," I said and he looked up at me.
"But Jen-"
"Jen doesn't know who it was, she just thinks she does," I said, cutting him off and he nodded, taking his hand out of mine and making a fist. I flinched away slightly and he dropped his hand.
"Do I scare you?" He asked and I shook my head.
"No, no! It's just considering what you just finished doing and..." I started and he leaned forward, placing his hurt hand on my cheek.
"I never wanted to scare you... I love you Kelsey," he whispered, caressing my cheek. "I just- he- he was gonna hit you..." he said and I nodded.
"Thank you Nathan," I said before kissing him quickly. When I pulled away I turned to Mike and started inspecting the damage.
"Why do you defend him Kelsey?" Nate asked behind me and I sighed, sitting down on my bum.
"He's one of my best friends Nate," I said, running my hand through my bangs. "So what he's got a temper? So do you," I said, turning to face him, and he nodded. "Now help me get him on the couch," I said and he nodded, getting up and helping me up.
He helped me drag Mike onto the couch and I laid a blanket over him.
"Let me bandage that," I sighed and Nathan nodded walking over to the kitchen area and leaning against the counter. I grabbed a face cloth from the bathroom and wet it in the kitchen.
"This is gonna hurt," I warned and he nodded as I started to gently dab his hand with the cloth. He winced and I nodded. "I know Nathan, I know," I whispered as he flinched away. I got a better grip on his wrist and finished cleaning his knuckles. "I'm sorry honey, I need to do this," I said and he nodded, flexing his hand.
"Thank you Kels," he said and I nodded, turning and grabbing some bandage from one of the drawers and holding out my hand. He nodded, holding out his hand and I gently wrapped the bandage around his knuckles.
Once I was done he flexed his hand again before smirking at me.
"Thanks Kels," he said again and I nodded, putting the roll of bandage away.
"Someone had to," I said and he nodded.
"Kelsey?" He asked and I sighed, turning to face him.
"Yes my love?" I asked and he smiled.
"Sleep with me," he said and I raised an eyebrow.
"Really?" I asked and he shook his head.
"Just come with me, come away from this toxic environment," he said and I smiled.
"Gladly," I said, "just let me grab some clothes." He nodded and I turned and walked to my bunk. I shoved some clothes into a bag, grabbed my toothbrush, and walked back.
"Ready?" He asked and I nodded, slipping on my jacket, taking my wallet out of my pocket and shoving it onto my bag.
He took my hand and I followed him out of the bus and over to his.
