I laid in bed watching Nate sleep for a few minutes before getting up, pulling a hoodie over my head, grabbing my keys, wallet, and phone and leaving, closing the door quietly behind me.
"I have coffee and breakfast! Get up get up get up!" I exclaimed as I opened the door and walked in. Nate looked at me and smiled, getting out of bed and helping me with the grocery bags.
"I thought you just left again," he said and I nodded, tossing my wallet and keys on the desk.
"I'll tell you next time I do," I said and he chuckled looking back at me.
"What?" He asked and I shook my head chuckling.
"I don't even know," I said and he walked over and kissed my forehead.
"I love you Kelsey," he said and I reached up and kissed him gently.
"Love you too," I whispered before he kissed my forehead again and sat down at the little table.
"So why are you staying in a hotel?" He asked as he ate and I sighed a little, taking the lid off my latte.
"Jason and Margaret moved to Seattle and they took Charlie with them," I explained and he nodded.
"Are you ok?" He asked and I nodded, taking a bite of my breakfast sandwich.
"Do you want to come live with me?" He asked and I smiled, taking a sip of coffee.
"I have to stay here until we finish the record," I said and he nodded.
"I'mna have a shower," I said when I was done my sandwich and he nodded again, fitting the last of his in his mouth, making me laugh.
"Mind if I join?" He asked and I smiled as I got up and kissed him quickly.
"Never," I whispered and he got up and followed me into the bathroom.
When we got in the bathroom he turned on the shower before he pushed me against the counter and kissed me. It was the same hungry, desperate kiss as the first time he kissed me on the bus.
I kissed him back before pulling his shirt off and he slid mine off.
He pulled away and undid his pants and took them off as I did the same before pushing him into the shower."What're your plans for the day?" Nate asked when I turned my hairdryer off and I ran my fingers through my hair thoughtfully.
"Well, normally I would go over to Jens and hang out with her buuut you sort of ruined that plan," I said, turning to him, and he smiled.
"How unfortunate," he said putting his arms around me and pulling me into a hug.
"Really isn't," I said into his chest and he laughed before kissing my head and letting me go. "But I should actually spend the day at the studio and do some mixing," I said and he nodded, pulling a grey tee-shirt over his head.
"You bet," he said and I kissed him quickly before sitting down and doing up my boots. "Boots with shorts, who woulda thought," he said as I stood up and I laughed, grabbing my leather jacket, phone, wallet, and keys.
"I don't know, not me," I said and he chuckled.
"Have a good day honey! I love you!" He called as I opened the door and stepped out. I laughed and looked back at him,
"Love you too!" I called and he laughed as I closed the door. When I got to the studio Mark, Jen, Mike, and Brian were all there already.
"I see you all got my mental note," I joked as I walked in, hearing the door close behind me.
"Just waiting on John," Mike said and I nodded, taking off my jacket and tossing it on the chair in the corner.
"Well he's never really been one for mental communication," I said and he laughed, walking over and hugging me quickly.
"You're in a good mood," Jen said and Mark smirked making Mike jut out his jaw in anger but I just nodded.
"Nate and I talked last night," I said and Marks smirk was gone in an instant.
"Just talked?" Jen asked and I blushed a little.
"Let's get started shall we?" Brain asked as soon as the door opened and Jonny walked in.
"Hey! Everyone's here!" He exclaimed and we laughed as he walked over, taking off his jacket and tossing it with the others.
"Kels, I honestly think you should record the bridge of Rain Like Snow," Mike said and I sighed.
"We've been over this! The bridge is fine!" I insisted and he sighed as well.
"What's wrong with the bridge?" Mark asked and Mike turned to him.
"She-"
"Nothing is wrong with the goddamn bridge!" I exclaimed, cutting Mike off and he looked at me.
"She sort of slurred a couple of the words and I think it would sound better if she annunciated the words more," he said and I hung my head as Mark nodded.
"Well it's been my experience that its sometimes better to slur in songs than to annunciate," he said and I scoffed, looking up at him.
"So tell me, Bob fucking Rock, in your 'extensive' years in the music industry what other tips have you picked up?" I spat and everyone went silent and looked at me. "Sorry, I'm gonna get some air," I said quietly, grabbing my jacket and walking out.
I leaned on the closed door and took a deep breath in before hearing a car pull up. I looked up and my breath caught in my throat when I saw who it was.
"Already?" He asked and I nodded as he pulled me into his arms.
