"You asleep?" I whispered and Kelsey shifted in my arms. I sighed and rolled onto my back, one arm still under her back the other over her stomach.
"I'm so sorry Kelsey," I whispered as I started to cry. "So sorry, I'm so sorry Kels," I whispered over and over and rolled over, pulling her closer. I buried my face in her hair and felt her warm hand on my cheek.
"What's wrong?" She asked, half asleep, and I took a deep breath, still apologizing. "Oh sweetie," she whispered, rolling over and wrapping her arms around me, pulling me close. "I know you are honey, I forgive you," she whispered and I nodded, pulling away and sighing.
"I'm just-"
"Sorry, yea I know," she said, cutting me off. I sighed again, wiping my face.
"Sorry I woke you," I said and she smiled, tucking her bangs behind her ear.
"Don't worry about it," she whispered, softly caressing my cheek.
"Come here," I whispered, pulling her close, and she laid her head on my chest.
"I love you Nate," she whispered and I stopped, my hand in her hair.
"What?" I asked and she froze.
"Nothing," she said, pulling away and tucking her bangs behind her ear again.
"No you-"
"I'm tired Nate, can we just get some sleep?" She asked, cutting me off. I nodded, laying down. She laid with her back to me and pulled my arms around her, interlacing out fingers. I kissed the back of her head and sighed, closing my eyes and falling asleep after a few minutes.

"How'd you sleep?" I asked, leaning on the doorframe, and Kelsey sighed and leaned against the counter.
"What is sleep?" She asked and I chuckled, walking over and kissing her cheek.
"Sorry again for waking you up last night," I said and she smiled, turning around and pouring a cup of coffee.
"Hey, if you wanna wake me up feel free," she said turning and running her hands up my chest. I smiled a little, rubbing her shoulders, and kissed her head before hugging her.
"Something bothering you?" She asked, pulling away and leaning against the counter again. I sighed, her green eyes looking up at me so concerned, and shook my head.
"No," I whispered, putting some sugar and cream into my coffee and taking a sip.

After breakfast Kelsey showered while I went on my laptop.
After a little bit I hesitantly opened Kelsey's laptop, turning it on. I clicked on her site and was surprised when it asked for a password.
I tried Bug and Charlie before thinking for a minute. Slowly I made my fingers press the keys and spell out Nate. The computer loaded for a second before opening the last thing she was doing.
Everyone always said
Love was something I'd find
And when I did I'd never let it go
I didn't believe them until I met you
When I met you I was finally home
I read that over and over again until I heard the bathroom door open. I quickly closed her laptop and opened mine, pretending I'd been on it the whole time.
"Find anything interesting?" Kelsey asked and I looked up, playing the fool.
"What?" I asked, keeping my eyes on her face not the towel loosely wrapped around her tiny frame.
"On my laptop," she said simply and I looked at it on the table.
"I-I," I stuttered and she smiled kindly.
"It's fine," she said softly, as if she was calming down a child.
"Really?" I asked and she nodded, adjusting the towel.
"Of course, I've always believed that a relationship won't survive without honesty and if you need to go on my devices every now and then that's fine with me," she said and I nodded slowly.
"What do you need?" I asked and she thought for a bit.
"Time," she said after a while and I nodded. "Time and to take this slowly," she said again and I nodded again.
"Understandable," I said and she smiled.
"Thanks! I'm gonna get dressed and then you wanna grab some lunch before sound check?" She asked and I nodded.
"Sounds like a plan," I said and she nodded before turning and walking away.

After lunch and sound check we went for a walk around the town before heading back and getting changed.

I watched Kelsey and her crew perform Whatever It Takes by Pillar before finding her outside holding a pack of cigarettes in one hand and a lighter in the other.
"Hey," I said and she flinched, turning to me.
"Nate," she breathed and I nodded, shoving my hands into my pockets and walking over.
"What's goin on?" I asked and she slipped the cigarettes and lighter into her jacket pocket.
"Nothing," she muttered and I sighed.
"You gonna do that?" I asked and she shook her head.
"No," she sighed, adjusting her rib brace. "I'm just kinda stressed right now," she said and I nodded, walking closer.
"Anyway I could help?" I asked and she smiled sadly, shaking her head a little.
"Thanks though," she said and I nodded, taking my hands out of my pockets and rubbing her arms. She sighed again and laid her head on my chest before running her hands around my waist. I kissed her head and rested my chin on top of her head.
After what felt like forever just holding her I heard the door behind us open and Kelsey lifted her head to see who it was.
"You're too tall," she laughed and I chuckled, looking over my shoulder.
"Kelsey, meet and greet," Mike said and she sighed.
"I'll be right in," she said into my sweatshirt and I smiled.
"She'll be right in," I said for her and she pat my back gently. She looked up and I kissed her nose gently. She smiled, reaching up and kissing me. I placed my hand gently on her cheeks and kissed her again.
She sighed, leaning into the kiss for a second more before stepping back and walking away.
I stood with my eyes closed until I heard the door close behind me. After I pulled my phone out of my pocket and scrolled through Twitter quickly before heading inside.
I walked down the hall and into a big room that was packed full of eager fans, each trying to push their way in front of the other.
"I'll be in my dressing room," I said to Kelsey once I'd made my way through the crowd.
"Oh really?" She teased, her eyebrow raised playfully as she signed someone's arm.
"Just so you don't have to go looking for me," I said and she nodded.
"Mhm ok," she said before turning to me, a huge smile on her face that told me this is what she lived for. Meeting the fans and hearing their stories, that's why she made music. Not for the money or the press but the fans.
She reached up and kissed me quickly before turning back to the fans.
