Clear blue water, high tide came and brought you in

I groaned as I heard my cellphone ringing nonstop.

"Ugh. Shut uuup." I mumbled and hugged my pillow tighter. I nearly cried out in frustration nang nagpatuloy sa pagtunog ang cellphone ko.

With a sleepy eyes, I reached for my phone and answered the call of - whoever the caller is.

"Hello?" I asked with a sleepy voice.

"Hey, Kisses." A familiar voice replied.

"Who's... this?" Muli kong tanong. Feeling ko nananaginip pa rin ako.

Chocolates. Pancakes. Make-ups. Shoes. Bags. Unicorns. Submarines.

"This is Yuan. Are you awake or just sleep talking?" He said while chuckling.

Napadilat ako at napatingin sa cellphone ko. Si Yuan nga!

"Oh, I'm sorry! Um, inaantok pa kasi ako, eh... Hindi ko na natingnan muna kung sino ang tumatawag..." Nahihiya kong sabi.

"It's okay, pancake." He replied sweetly. Yes! Sweet talaga ang pagkakasabi niya!

Pancake? Mga pauso nga naman ni Yuan, oo. Napanguso ako sa naisip ko.

Napahawak ako sa pisngi ko, "B-Bakit ka nga pala napatawag?"

"Well, I'm just wondering if we could eat breakfast together?"

My eyes widened at super lakas ng kabog ng puso ko dahil sa excitement!

"Oo naman!" I said too excitedly. Nag-init ang mukha ko nang marealize kong hindi ko man lang tinago ang excitement ko sa kanya! "I-I mean, my parents are not home so mabuti na may kasabay akong magbebreakfast..."

Ugh. Kisses! Konting pakipot naman, pwede?

"Okay. So I'll wait for you here." Bakas ang amusement sa boses niya. Napapikit na lang ako sa hiya! "Hurry up, please? Masama na ang tingin sakin ng security guard n'yo dito."

"Huh? Nasaan ka ba?" Nagtataka kong tanong.

"Nasa harap ng bahay nyo..."

Mabilis akong umalis sa kama ko at bahagyang hinawi ang kurtina sa bintana kung saan kita ang harap ng bahay namin.

"Wala naman, eh." I said, trying to hide my disappointment.

"I'm still here inside my car."

Napakunot-noo ako at bahagya pang sumungaw para tingnan kung may kotse ba sa labas ng bahay namin.
