"Ui, uuwi ka na?" Tanong sa 'kin ng ka-trabaho kong si Gen.

I smiled at her and nodded, "Yeah."

Nanliit ang mga mata niya sa 'kin. "Akala ko mag-o-OT ka na naman, eh."

Hindi ko naman siya masisisi. Most of the time ay nag-o-overtime ako. Hindi pa naman ako naghihirap. Maayos pa rin ang mga business ni Daddy. Sadyang masaya lang ako sa trabaho ko. It feels good to finally be able to do something that is out of my comfort zone. I feel very independent!

"May lakad pa kasi ako." Sabi ko kay Gen.

"Oh, dinner date?" Nanunukso niyang sabi.

I bit my lower lip to suppress a smile. "Uh, oo."

Hanggang sa makalabas ako sa pinto ng opisina ay rinig ko ang panunukso niya sa akin. Napailing na lang ako pero hindi ko rin naman mapigilan ang mapangiti.

My smile widened when I saw Yuan waiting for me outside. I waved at him when he looked at my direction. He smiled and waved back.

"Hi, baby." Bati niya.

"Kanina ka pa?" Nag-aalala kong tanong. Lagi kasi siyang maaga tuwing susunduin ako sa trabaho. Ayaw niya daw na pinaghihintay niya ako.

"Mga five minutes pa lang naman." Nakangiti niyang sagot at saka ako inakbayan at iginiya papunta sa kotse niya.

"Why don't we just walk? Marami namang mainam na resto dyan sa malapit." I suggested.

"Sure." Aniya.

We walk in silent. I tilted my head to look at him and saw him smiling.

"Why are you smiling?"

He shrugged. "I'm just happy."

"Why?"

"Coz you're here with me. Coz I'm holding your hand right now. Ah. There are so many other reasons but all are about you." He said and gently pinched the bridge of my nose.

I laughed at his cheesiness. "Still cheesy, huh?"

Ilang sandali pa ay nakapili na kami ng restaurant. Agad kaming um-order ng aming makakain.

"I have something for you." Yuan said excitedly.

"At ano naman po yun?" Nangingiti kong tanong.

He showed me a small box. "Open it."

I took a deep breath to ease the excitement I'm feeling right now. I slowly opened the box and was welcomed with a very beautiful bracelet. Kinuha ko iyon mula sa kahon. It looks like the one na binigay niya sa 'kin dati pero mas malaki.

Kumunot ang noo ko nang isukat ko 'yon sa palapulsuhan ko at natantong maluwang talaga ito.

I heard Yuan tsked kaya napatingin ako sa kanya. "Why? Bukod sa dahilan na binigyan mo na ako ng bracelet, I don't understand why you gave this to me when it doesn't even fit my wrist..." I frowned. "Is it really for me?" Nagdududa kong tanong. I mean, hindi naman pwedeng hindi niya alam ang kakasyang bracelet sa 'kin dahil lagi niyang hawak ang kamay ko. Hindi nga kaya?

He chucked at my accusing look, "I thought you're smart, baby. Tsk tsk. You disappointed me tonight." Biro niya. He stood up from his seat at saka lumapit sa 'kin. Kinuha niya ang bracelet at lumuhod sa harap ko. Lito pa rin ako sa nangyayari.

Halos mapatili ako nang bigla niyang hilahin ang isang binti ko. "What are you doing?" I hissed.

"You should know how to differentiate an anklet from a bracelet." He said habang kinakabit ang anklet sa paa ko.

I felt my cheeks warmed in embarrassment. "I... I didn't know..."

"There." Nakangiti niyang sabi pagkatapos ikabit ang anklet. Mula sa pagkakaluhod ay tumingala siya sa 'kin. "Happy second anniversary, baby." He said and smiled.

It's been another year of our journey together. Hindi ito naging madali and I know that in the next chapters of our story, the pages might contain new obstacles that will test our love for each other. But I believe we can overcome all of them. Whatever happens, we will still stick and end up with each other.
