What did they say about Monday? Oh yeah, sucks. It does. You have to get up and do the same routine all over again. At around 6: 30AM after I've done with all my morning routine, I lazily grabbed my bag and went downstairs. The smell of eggs and bacon pierced into my nose instantly. I walked faster towards the kitchen since my stomach was growling inside. "Morning, mama," I greeted my mom, sitting on the bar stool.

"Morning mija," she said, not turning around from the stove. "You're ready for school? Where's Lauren?"

"I don't know," I muttered, pulling out my phone to check on my private facebook account. I scrolled through my newsfeed, hoping to see any interesing stories, but all of them was just a boring stuff.

"Morning ladies," Papa walked into the kitchen and toward me, pecking a kiss on my head. He then walked towards mom and kissed her.

"Ewww!" I teased, scrunching my nose.

"Now, now," Dad chuckled and plopped himself down on the stool across me. "Say, mija, are you free this Thursday night?"

I looked up from my phone, looking at him in confusion. "Not that I know of. Why?"

"We're planning for a family dinner," Mom said, joining us.

"Oh," I mumbled. "Just us?"

Mom and dad exchanged glances, then nodded at me. "Just us."

Why did I sense something fishy? "Um, sounds cool to me."

"Great," Papa said. "I have to go to work, now."

I nodded and after I gave them a peck of kiss on the cheeks, I left the house.

Waiting for the class to end seemed like forever. At this moment I felt like the clock betrayed me by ticking so slow. I almost just fell asleep if Mrs. Gin didn't call my name out loud whilst she was teaching.

Finally, after what felt like a thousand years later, the bell rang and I didn't take so long to put my books into my bag and left the class. The first person I looked for was Nancy, of course. We almost bumped into each other as I ran towards her class.

"Jeez, Karla!" She snorted, hitting me playfully on my arms.

I grinned sheepishly. "Sorry. I'm just so hungry, can we go have lunch now?"

"Sure," she said. Locking my arms around hers, we walked towards the cafeteria together. As soon as I stepped in, my eyes caught the sight of a bunch of group at the corner of the cafe. One of them was Alex. He didn't notice me, so I just headed towards an empty table next to the window.

From afar, I watched as he talked and laughed along with his friends - they were all the ones that I saw in the hospital the other day. The colorful hair girl - now her hair was all green, sat across Alex and smiled at him the whole time even when whe was not looking.

I hated the way she did that - smiling from ear to ear. Doesn't she know how to stop at all? By now, I juat realized how I didn't.. like her much. Hate is a strong word, guys. I knew I was going to, ever since she popped her stupid bubble gum in front of me in the hospital.  I just wished she know how I wanted to rip the smile off of her pretty little face-

Wait, what?

"What?" Nancy was staring at me when I looked up.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"What, what?" Nancy put a tray of food on the table and plopped herself down. "What were you saying?"

"Nothing?"
