I slammed my locker shut, locking it after. Apparently I'd survived my first day of school. Though I didn't get to see Lauren for the whole day , I wondered where she was. But then I realized that if she didn't wish for my existence, why should I?

I was about to walk towards the exit door, just as someone tapped my shoulders. I looked up to see Nancy grinning at me. "Hey!"

"Hi!" We started walking forward. "So how was class?"

"It was okay," I said. "I think this scool's great."

"Of course," she grinned. "Oh, how do you go home? Walk?"

"Uh, I have someone pick me up," I looked up towards the gate, searching for any black Rover but there was none. "But I guess they're not here yet?"

"Oh, in that case, why don't we sit on that bench for a while if you don't mind?"

I nodded my head. "I don't."

"Great!"

I followed her steps towards the school's park and sat on the bench. I wondered what took the driver so long to pick me up, but it must've had been an emergency or something. I took out my Harry Potter book and opened the last page I was in.

"You know," Nancy said, after a while. "You look kind of familiar. I've been wanting to ask you this, but like.. have we met? 'Cause I think I saw you somewhere."

I grinned, reading the sentences on the page. "Not that I know of."

"Yeah," She shrugged. "Perhaps a doppelganger."

I chuckled. The fact that she didn't know me was fun, and I didn't really planning on telling her.

My phone beeped from my pocket. I quickly took it out and check the new message.

FROM : Lauren

Where the hell are you? The car's here.

Putting my book into my bag, I hurriedly got up. The last thing I needed was Lauren being pissed at me again. "Uh, Nancy. I got to go. See you tomorrow?"

"Sure! Bye, Karla!"

I smiled and quickly ran towards the gate. I saw the Rover, parked across the street. "I'm so sorry I-"

Lauren looked at me. "Just stop, god you're annoying. For the sake of me, if you're late again I won't hesitate to leave you and you have to walk miles from here to go home! Would you want that?"

I gulped, shaking my head. "N-no, but I-"

"So don't be late again!" She said, looking back to her phone.

I closed my eyes, trying to hold back the frustration. I looked out towards the window and my mind started to wander around. I thought that being home was going to be perfect. I thought after staying in London for a few years, she would changed - she wouldn't hate me.

But I guessed I was wrong to even slightly thought about that.

I shook my head, shaking all the memories away. I took out my Iphone and played the music. I clicked on one of Adele's song and looked out of the windows as the car sped off. The next few minutes was spent in a peaceful nap. I really was tired, even though it was only my first day of school. Not sure if I was psychally tired or emotionally.

I was only awaken by the loud screech in my ears and the car, bouncing around that almost sent me onto the front seat if I didn't hold the holder above the window. I was completely awaken, my heart thumped rapidly on my chest as I looked around to see what was exactly happening.
